i just have to figure out a method of dealing with your super. i noticed looking at frame data,
st. mk has a 25 total frames, vega’s far mk is the same but has more range (low mp is 22), so i think i should try and snipe recovery of it with c. mp
c. mp is 20 total frames but has less range,
same with st. mp, it has less range, but only 17 frames (just like vega’s c. mk)
the footsie game is really niche and elegant between both of our characters because of the spacing but it sucks when gen gets super. i can’t make a mistake else i lose just an insane amount of HP

i managed to hit a sizeable HD combo with all 3 of my characters, which is great, so much fun, so much DAMAGE look at da DAMAGE

Gen’s returns on his ground game is mediocre until he gets Super, which shoots up to an automatic 400 damage, which goes to 500~600 dmg when he has Ultra. The risk/reward ratio of Gen on full meter is unrivaled. He just has a hard time to get that since I have to refrain from using EX Gekiro. In one word, you have to kill me without getting touched on ground. But then Super can be used as an AA too. IMO Gen has the best Supers and Ultra (Mantis U1) in the game, considering the dmg, start-up, purpose and hithox interaction.
Just remember that 1st active frame == last start-up frame so you have to subtract one frame after adding everything.
Gen’s Mantis cr.MP is good against Vega’s cr.MP, but not good against cr.MK since Gen moves his lower body more forward than st.MK. Its interactions with Vega’s st.MK is bad as well, so I try to avoid it when I think you’re going for those. In return it only has 11 recovery frames, which is a really important tool in Gen’s slow normals.
