I got excited for SFxT when I saw the CG trailer then I watched the gameplay trailer and I lost the excitement in an instant. lol The way the game play looks is not doing it for me at all, but weāll see after the game comes out. SFxT is not a day one purchase for me (depends on the preorder exclusives) but Iāll test it out, and see how the community develops the game. Also, I want to hear reports about the net code first. If the game play is bad, and the net code is ass then thereās no reason to buy the game. If the online is good then there should be a lot of fun with the 4 player modes.
The Dreamcancel forums are really good for information in general, itās just that the threads with the important information are scattered around. For character specific information, you can post on the boards with a question or input and usually thereās someone who can help you. A lot of the top North American players post there as well, and from my experiences they are willing to help the community out. In general, I find that the Nort American KoF community are much more willing to help out then other FG communities. For example, I asked TheAnswer a question on his twitter and within the hour he answered it.
As for frame data, there is a thread where a groupe of people are currently trying to figure out the frame data manually. So far theyāve covered a few of the characters but itās mostly frame start up on certain normals/specials. It doesnāt go into frame advantage/disadvantage on hit or block; however, figuring out the frame advantage/disadvantage of a move on block is easy enough, if you use the 1 guard jump feature in training mode.

For me it was the other way. The CGI trailer I thought was really dumb. Maybe Iām just sick of the Japanese way of doing that type of stuff. The gameplay looks more fun since thereās combos and stuff going on.

lol I am may be a lameass, but Iāve always played soldier. I donāt mess around with biotics or anything elseā¦ I just go in guns blazing. If ME2 was like ME1 I might have switched classes, but the shooting game felt so incredibly solid in ME2 I didnāt want to put my guns away. I leave all the physic mind explosion stuff to Miranda.
You donāt really spam much skills as Vanguard, your Y allows you to teleport to people and tackle them and puts you into bullet time which allows you to put a Eviscerator (Or in my case, Geth Plasma Shotgun) shell into their face.
I only ever played ME2 once. Hard for me to sit down and play a game multiple times anymore, unless an achievement asks me to do it. ME2 even asked me to do it, but I didnāt that time.
I need to re-beat the last mission in ME2 so none of my guys die, though!
The only games I am considering getting for the first half of the year are FF13-2 (maybe), ME3 (definitely), and SFxT (probably). Donāt really know what else comes out before June that I care about.
I didnāt have anyone die the first time around and I didnāt even look at a guide or anything.
For the leaders every time I just picked Garen and tech I picked Tali for obvious reasons.
Apparently it doesnāt matter who you pick to lead the survival team but I happened to pick Mordin (Who is most likely to die in the final battle) cause he lead the STG.
I was worried though cause I had an unloyal Miranda but thankfully she survived. :S
Mordin was the only one of my guys who died. My first play through of the game is the only one I use for the next game, so heās dead for goodā¦ oh well. Miranda and Garrus are alive, thatās all that mattersā¦
I was just about to preorder Mass Effect 3, but then realized that I havent beat 1 or 2 yet, and I can just buy 3 on the cheaps later.
