Umvc3 is staying. It’s not going anywhere.
Maybe it was just a quiet time for gamer in general.
I don’t play the game myself, but I enjoy seeing high level play and I wouldnt like the umvc3 scene disappear.
The more people playing fighting games in general the better.

I enjoyed mk but no scene here for it. Then agian mk teams tourny was the only tubby tourny i won. So maybe thats why i enjoyed it lol

Cody’s cr.MK slide does a great job going under all of Bison’s devil reverse/headstomp nonsense.
Basically, if they headstomp at you, try to b+MP the headstomp part. If they flip over with a devil’s reverse and try to come back down on your head, cr.MK them. You cover both options this way. b+MP easily beats even EX headstomp. Sometimes cr.MK will actually go under and past them, if they don’t space it properly, which means you get a beefy punish. Pro tip!

This is changing come Jan 29th, I’ll be bringing MK and people that enjoy playing it to Dickens that day. I’m the only dude in Calgary that plays it seriously that also likes to hang with you guys and play streets. It’s tough to break down the walls, but it is what it is. get them grades. i know we joke a lot about it but it’s for serious… shit is super important. your post secondary life depends on it… i really regret not getting excellent grades because it hindered the possibility of getting into a good college significantly. and it’s only because i didn’t try, i was busy with other “stuff”

I might get a part-time for weekends depending on how the interview goes this week, so that could mean no Dickens for me. I don’t think I can make it to Tubbies anymore due to time issues, so that means Mike’s board game night on Saturdays is probably the only time I can hang out.
Fear not though, I will at least make sure to secure January 28 and 29 so I can go to Edmonton.
Did official MK9 majors held team tournaments? It seemed like noone took advantage of the 2v2 mode, which is a shame since that would have made for some epic times. I hope tourney organizers actually take advantage of that with SFxT.
I would like to see KoF team tournies where each person controls 1 character on that team. I think that would be pretty hilarious.
