Holy shit kotk was a fucked up movie. Steve weebie got screwwwwwed over. Kind of creepy all of the people blindly following and/or directly executing billys insanity throughout. I also read that they edited it to put billy in a better light because otherwise the movie would have been too “dark” lol
And seeing video game enthusiasts from the 80s, it’s really no surprise that the older generation would think games are for nerds. Some of those dudes are…something else. If those guys were the only people that played games now I sure wouldnt be playing
hey guys don’t forget that this Sunday is Dicken’s Pub gaming day
BYOC - Canada Cup won’t be bringing setups this time (too much f’ng around hauling gear).
congrats man. if you end up not enjoying the job, Suncor is looking for supply chain people again. so you could put in a resume here and see how that turns out for ya.
if you are down, you could come over tonight Daniel. I wanted to have a couple guys over to play some KoF. we could play SF if you ask really nicely haha
Keep in mind while watching that movie that the narrative comes almost exclusively from the editing. This is true of a lot of documentaries (people like watching a progression of events i.e. a story), but it is a little over the top in TKOK. Everything is very embellished through this narrative structure in order to develop that good guy versus bad guy thing that everyone wants to see. Not saying it isn’t a good movie, but you should take everything you see with a grain of salt. There has been a lot of dispute over some things being completely falsified in the film like where they break into the garage. I mean I don’t know all the facts but it’s definitely not as black and white as they make it out to be. Definitely a must see for all us nerds though, it’s a really entertaining movie, and with regards to the subject matter I don’t really care that it’s sort of a made up narrative, because of how entertaining I found it.
Also, I’m not sure about them portraying Billy in a better light. I’d definitely argue that they made him look worse overall. He is definitely not a nice guy, but they don’t even really give his side of the story, and that’s just on a superficial level.
Woot one of the guy I work with is giving me a Free 36" Sony HD CRT woot. hes got two I might just grab both. I still regret selling my 30inch HDcrt when I got my LCD( I didnt know about TV lag and such at the time).
Add me shadowsbk9. And yes you gain all the xp in the game, but it takes time to get to 6300 to unlock new char, during 5v5 or 3v3 u defeat the enemies and destroy there turrets and take down there central nexus, and there are " jungle monsters" where u can kill and get more gold, the game is sick if u pay attention to your team and work as a team to merk dem fools! But no shoryukens not yet haha
Speaking of ultranerds;
Ulilililia is getting a documentary made.

Story behind this guy is he’s a math genius with crippling OCD. He wrote a book (a hilarious one), is making a game, posts guides on gamefaqs (that are hopelessly convoluted), has some brutal LP’s on youtube, and is terrified of mirrors.
Ulilililia only eats cheese pizza and is terrified of bodies of water. he is also obsessed with flying. by all accounts he seems like a very nice fellow.
