Yeah, I’m totally thinking about attending EVO this year. I’ve never been to Vegas and it looks like piles of fun… The world’s biggest fighting game tournament would just be the icing on the cake. If I can go there, get shitfaced AND play street fighter then it’s well worth my while.
Flights can’t be too expensive either. Rooms are AT MOST $120 bucks a night… Why the hell not?!

i wont be staying at the Rio. probably be staying at Caesars, Bellagio, Paris or Ballys. i enjoy walking/stumbling the strip too much. i’ll be playing poker most of the time, dont know if i’ll even enter EVO.
edit: i’ll be staying at Planet Hollywood. that’s where WSOP 2011 is rumoured to be. they used to have it at Rio every year but theyre switching this year cause its too far from the strip. planet hollywood is right beside Paris and Ballys in the heart of the strip.
That sucks that Evo isn’t at the Caesars. i loved that place. really a bummer there

I’m staying at the Rio because I dont underestimate the value of waking up and stumbling down to play games. I still remember Lap saying he wished he stayed at the same place the tournament was held at.
And looking at my confirmation from the Rio, it seems they offer complimentary transportation to the strip anyways.

Trigun anime deviates quite a bit from the manga towards the end but I think the manga is still ongoing atm. Definitely check out the Trigun movie after wards it’s really good.
Also, they announced that the Berserk anime project that they’ve been teasing us with is a movie. They said the project will expand to cover the entire manga so not sure whether it’ll get a tv airing after the movie. I don’t know how they’ll be able to pull that off with the manga still ongoing with a chapter being released bi-monthly and it doesn’t appear the story is close to being done.

it’ll have to be a long ass movie… I suppose you could distill it down to its essence and still get the point across. The Berserk anime was almost entirely filler free… I dunno how you could shrink its ~13 hours down to less than 2 without making big sacrifices. Just about any cuts will lessen the impact of the Eclipse too… hmm. Hopefully the movie is just like an uber-pilot-episode that introduces the setting, characters, establishes the Band of the Hawk and the relationships, and then they build on it from there. Any word on a release date?
The manga… I’m hoping it starts to railroad towards its climax as soon as they get to Elfheim. One of my biggest problems with serialized media is how most authors seem to love stalling, and stalling, and stalling… (Bleach). Berserk doesn’t stall or do throwaway stories but its been 20 years since the whole thing started. I want to see Guts and Femto’s final confrontation NAO

I’m not sure if I can agree with Fei Long suddenly being felt to be THAT good. Some of those new 6-4 favor matchups are more 5-5 in my opinion.
I’d probably push Chun Li and Dictator back up to 6-4 to their favor. Honda is up in the air, likely 5-5 with small advantage to Honda.
Sagat (with small advantage), and Ken are 5-5,
Seth is 5-5 IMO (probably 6-4 Fei in A.E.) Cammy, Viper, and Juri I feel are 5-5, though I don’t have very much experience in either of these 3 matches.
I guess Filipino Champ, and who ever else contributed to that update tier rankings, know something I don’t. :<
