With counter-supers do you usually take the initial damage or do you avoid it? I’m wondering if XFC into a counter super like Taskmaster’s or Deadpools is going to make those supers a lot more viable than counter-supers normally are. I also read somewhere that the last pixel of life in MvC3 is actually a lot more than the other pixels, so it makes comebacks that much more interesting.
Man who cares about Super when I’m having more fun thinking about Marvel 3 than playing SSF4.
I just finished beating all of Resident Evil 5 with my bro (for like the 4th time in 2 years) just to see again where all the moves for Wesker and Chris came from. Literally every single one of Wesker’s actions is ripped right from that game, move for move… It’s really quite outstanding… Even his snail-like, horror villain-esque walking speed. That has to affect his rush-down game, unless his teleports completely negate his need to ever walk ever. And it sure will be awesome if Jill jumps on the opponents head, wraps her legs around their face and snaps their neck as part of her move-set ;). The game definitely shows you how she’ll play in MVC though (running up walls! Two-directional machine gunning! Flash-bangs!)
I can’t stop thinking about this game either. It’s all consuming! It’s sad but this is one of the most exciting events ever :).
I dunno if I’ll be able to make it to your release party Derryk :(. I have class from 8am to 2pm and then 6pm to 9pm. I’ll play it by ear and maybe cut a couple classes if nothing is due… Does anyone know if gamestop will be doing a midnight release? Hopefully have the girlfirend locked away from valentines day by then…

Playing through Mass Effect 2 on PS3 right now. So much content in this game. Absolutely phenomenal. I’m glad they have a new game plus option otherwise there was no way I was gonna do multiple playthroughs. I really wanna finish this game 100% before MvC3 comes out, but I’m not sure if I can do it in time. Awesome game. I was itching for a good RPG as I haven’t played one that I truly enjoyed since Persona 4.

for some reason tho the main story doesn’t seem as…epic as me1 though
maybe its because you’re not an intergalactic secret space agent and kind of like space batman, not sure, but pretty damn good game
main story was pretty meh imo… the Collectors weren’t really compelling bad guys, and the ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL guy didn’t hold a candle to Saren (don’t think he was supposed to tho)
but man oh man. the recruitment & personal missions and Lair of the Shadow Broker… so incredibly good!
i’m playing the new Castlevania game… it’s the first PS3 game i’ve bought since SSFIV, lol. pretty awesome though, graphics are intense. I hope to fight vampires soon, i’m tired of killing lycans.
on a side note, dude from the sales dept. is brining me a tubby dog for lunch, score haha!

Good luck finishing ME2 100% before MvC3, Byron. The insanity playthrough is pretty tough (and time consuming). Though I guess you can probably get all trophies from scratch in about 80 hours? So maybe it’s doable.
I started playing Just Cause 2 last night. It’s a ton of fun. The game has amazing scope and blowing stuff up is just pure fun. If you have a powerful PC (Greg, eg), watch for it on a steam sale! My brother picked it up for steam for like $7 and it looks phenomenal on his PC.
