normally i regard the general populace as a write off; the type of people that, when you profess that your main hobby is gathering in a hot dog restaurant to play fighting games, will probably roll their eyes at you. thats the type of people im refering to. the type of people whos own subjective idea of “cool” revolves around how they think their oposite gender counterpart will think of it
ever since early adolecense ive come to the conclusion the only idea of “cool” that matters is passion. if theres a reason someone is into something, it can’t be that bad(barring obviously not-ok things). if someone’s really into something like that mega gay girly anime ala youtube link that was posted earlier, good on the guy for not only amassing a giant collection and learning a dance, but props for going through the effort it takes to be a foreign resident in japan. i’m glad im not him and don’t find anything about his hobby cool at all, but fuck it man he finds it cool, and people with similar intrests will as well

as for looking down on people i’d like to say i try not to, but thats wrong. in general i judge a person on character rather than anything else(i got friends in lowwwwww places) and try to avoid generalization. some cases its pretty unavoidable though, especially if you have past experiences with said group.
