Well I just told you why it’s garbage. I don’t need your opinion. You’re seriously going to defend the inferior supers? Jesus. Their unblockable properties are lost because they are 3 frame start ups. There isn’t a single situation where someone would be blocking and eat these supers, thus the unblockable property is a joke. People can always see the super flash and hold up, thus the unblockable property of the super is useless.
Eh catching someone at neutral only worked with gief’s. BUT unlike gief’s, laura’s super actually has some nice range (can’t remember if mika does). I mean all you have to do is catch someone sticking out a poke and bam they are yours.
All of the characters who have these supposedly shitty supers for chip killing, have other ways of dealing big damage to characters who’re just blocking.
There is only one way that I know of that really makes them shitty over other supers in regards to chip:
Chip can be done to an opponent in blockstun… Meaning that one can do something canceled into super to make sure the super is a forced block. This afaik can’t be done with grappling supers… You can cancel into them, but the opponent can jump if in blockstun. And if not in blockstun then the opponent has an opportunity to do something to avoid the super.
So… its lame that you need to have 1 ex bar to escape the use of 3?
I think its a great point. But you should consider the risk they are taking in throwing that out. Also, if you are within chip range for CA, you have made the mistake of both positioning yourself that close to Necali AND losing that much health.
While I like that we are considering the balance of chip… I think it is very fair to spend the meter. Grappler CAs are still a threat to close out the match and you have to make similar mistakes to be hit by them.
Grappler usually get S-tier health…above average. U messed up if you’re getting bodied by chip damage when you have all that extra health. Just take it.
