Going low on wake up is GDLK. The key is to do your low attack slightly after the opponent wakes up during their parry recovery frames (or basically when they usually hesitate after wake up). Just skim through random high level Japanese videos and watch how most people kill their opponent when they are near death on a knock down. Low forward right after they wake up. You shouldn’t really meaty much unless you figure the opponent is going for a reversal any ways (which meaties beat reversals for free).
On wake up it’s best to just low block but I like to option select forward, down or down, forward (I use the first option if I think they’re going low, 2nd if they’re going high) then low block. If I see myself parry an attack and know they won’t cancel into special or super I press buttons if I don’t I’m low blocking which pretty much can only lose to meaties which is risky if the opponent isn’t going for reversals.
Fuck the snow. Rain, wind, or shine, we throw down. What are we, smash bros. players who have to have all our mothers take us to these things (no offense keninblack, if you’re mom said you couldn’t come, no big)? Real men make snow their bitch.
Besides, it’s not supposed to snow mcuh tomorrow, and the plows are already out doing work, and the tournament is in the evening at which point the plows will have had time to clear up the roads anyway.
I hope anyone thinking of not coming because of the weather reconsiders.
i was gonna try to make it for MvC2… sadly snow raped my driveway… it’s too long to shovel (1/4 mile long) and anyone i can pay to plow it is backlogged with work. If only it was postponed
K guys I talked to David from C3 and he is snowed in as well so more than likely we will have this event next weekend so everyone can try to make it out…and yeah I am down for casuals if peoples wanna play today…
