Sorry I couldn’t make it out to this one…I hear it was mad hype. I decided to hang out with family the day before my bday on Sunday so that’s all she wrote. I know there’s going to be plenty of time for other big tourneys to catch up on and I hear there was MAD people that came out for SFIV. Like Smash numbers worthy. I’m gonna get in that danger room and take what I learned on Sunday into practice for the next C3.

I heard about what went down but hopefully it’s all done and settled now. SFIV is bigger than that shit and we need to keep things positive to keep C3’s momentum up. It’s all in getting us to level up in the end.

Have singles next month plz. The team setting is cool but, it DEF does not show who is the better player or players are on that day or in general. Works for the scrubs that don’t want to get scraped up but not for the players that are trying to get better in this area. Hopefully the turnout next month will be better than this.

People should step it up and get their sticks modded to have default layouts.
Dual PCB mods resolve this issue. There are plenty of modders on the forums who can do this, not just myself. In fact, I encourage people to use other modders as they might need the money, I just do it for fun/to help the community.
As far as which console is used for the tournament/how many show up, that’s the tournament organizer’s responsibility. They need to decide which console will be run and make sure people bring them or acquire them some other way.
This is an issue the tournament organizer needs to address. They can either ask people with consoles to make sure everyone is unlocked or have them show up early enough that unlocking can be taken care of.
Dual modding or buy two sticks. This hobby isn’t a cheap one, there are several large purchases to make. Systems, sticks, tourney fees, popeye’s chicken, etc. Most people are decent about letting kids borrow sticks (I think my stick got more use by other people this weekend than by me) but really everyone should come prepared on their own for this issue or the tournament should be run on one console and one console alone.

Because of EVO2K9's decision to change the HDR 5v5 tournament to SF4 5v5, Justin Wong has asked me if he could run two small qualifier tournaments for the last two spots on his team. He will be having 2 separate FREE tournaments to fill the last two spots of his 5v5 team for the EVO2K9 Street Fighter IV team tournament. Entrants MUST be going to EVO2K9 in Las Vegas. If you're NOT DEFINITELY GOING, DON'T ENTER!!!
The following characters are already taken:
+ Rufus (Justin)
+ Balrog/Boxer (Marn)
+ Sagat (Joe)
Each tournament will be run one after the other. The winner of the first tournament will not enter in the second one. He will be given the 4th spot. Because of this, the first winner's character MAY NOT BE CHOSEN BY ANYONE in the second tournament.
Each tournament will be 2/3 games, single elimination.
You MUST stick with the same character throughout the ENTIRE tournament(s). No counter-picking. Your character will be signed to your name upon registration.
