i can do the fff xx ex seismo but i can’t get the hj to kick
i cheat and use the 3p buttons. I negative edge the first punch then cancel with the 3p then you can use the shortcuts and do down forward and 3p then downforwards again and the 3p. That seems to work!
i feel incredibly lucky right now. for some reason all of a sudden today i was having problems with the fff for my first 10 minutes of play.
first time i get the fff i do the entire combo and pass somehow managed to skip the horror of doing the combo and whiffing the burning kick, or getting a grounded one, or missing the ultra.
now i just have the horror of the fuerte #5 and im all done.
OMG I JUST FINISHED ALL THE TRIALS FOR VIPER!!!
Anyway, I can confidently say that all her trials are possible to complete with a controller except for Hard Trial 3.
Trials I remember(Hard 2 - 5): Hard Trial 2: Took the longer but easier way of doing things since my FFF sucked, I pretty much did Hard Trial 5 in this trial(Focus -> FFF -> HJC -> BK -> Ultra. This is a really good way to try to perfect the FFF early and as long as Dan is stunned, the instructions stay red so that’s a simple but advance cheat there. Hard Trial 3: I have to admit, I’m a controller player but slowly converting over. Practicing the last cr.wp -> HJ -> Ultra is much easier on a stick than a controller. Sorry guys, this is one trial I had to use a stick for becuase nothing would ever come out except for a High Jump after jab. Hard Trial 4: Simple Viper beginner combo here, everyone should possibly take 2 tries before finishing it. Hard Trial 5: If you’ve gotten used to FFF, the next thing is to get used adding an EX Seismo right after. Easier said than done right? Sadly to say, you have to get used to these if you’re gonna be a good Viper player since the overall combo is one of her main damaging combos she has. What I usually do if I’m not confident with the EX Seismo part is use the default 3p button after the FFF and 90% of the time, it comes out to what I want it to be.
Strangely enough, the first two complete attempts I had on this trial didn’t give me a pass inbetween H.BK and Burst Time…dunno why.
Added: Oh I know why I didn’t pass on the last trials sometimes. Hard = Medium strength lol, keep thinking it’s fierce kick.
the hard mod 3 is imposssible, i trying to do it but without succs. I do jump hk lk 23lp62369ppp but i do a super, this don’t work. I have tried an other movement 2369lp 236 ppp, but the problem is that viper jump before the movement 236 ppp. what can i do ?
I just finished Viper’s trials today after finally getting more comfortable using stick over pad.
Hard Trial 3:
SJCing c.lp into Ultra is easy by itself but putting it together in the actual combo is too hard for me so I cheated. c.mp SJC Ultra is much easier to do as there’s more hit stun with c.mp. You can also short cut the SJC Ultra motion by doing a 360+PPP as well. Just don’t ride the gates on your stick and do it semi-quickly. The only way I could finish Hard Trial 3 was doing this combo instead. j.RH, s.lk, c.lp, s.lk, c.mp, SJC Ultra. The game doesn’t care what you do in between as long as you cover all of the requirements in the list. You can’t combo c.lp into c.mp so you have to do s.lk as that will combo off of c.lp and it will combo into c.mp allowing you to utilize the longer hit stun and do the sjc ultra.
Hard Trial 4+5:
Just have to realize you need a low insta burn kick for the game to recognize this. TKing Burn Kicks seems to be the easiest method to do these. For Hard Trial 5 you need a slight delay before pulling off the Ultra.

I’d say I’m pretty good at doing combos. I had no real problem with all the other characters.
I play on a gamepad but this hasn’t been an issue so far. I’ m feeling very comfortable with it.
So I finished almost all other trials pretty fast but Vipers Hard 3 drives me nuts.
I guess I tried it 2000-3000 times but I don’t get the point what to do to get this combo out.
I practiced every possibility I read through.

I tried them all so often, it should have worked by accident…
So I thought this is not how I could “luck” it out.
Either a standing LP comes out, or only the superjump. Or Ultra but it doesn’t connect cause of the missing SJC. Or Super comes out. I think i managed to get it 2 or 3 times, but i did a standing LP before SJC->Ultra.
I tried different timings, speed, etc.
At the moment I’m trying this:

But I don’t get it. I’m able to do any other combo from any char in this game pretty consistently. But with Vipers Hard 3 I don’t know how to get this s**t out a single time…
Actually what I do(with a stick) is a very quick :d::df::lp::r::qcf::uf::3p:
You have to remember, all those motions above are required to be done quick enough to be recognized as a High Jump with the :3p: initiating her Ultra.
If you’re doing her Super, then you’re inputting :3p: before :uf:
If you’re doing High Jump, then you’re inputting :3p: too late(which is better since you know you’re doing everything but the :3p: )
The wrist is faster than the thumb IMO which is the reason why after a couple of tries with that string above, in the end, I just needed to connect the beginning of the trial’s required steps with the rest of what I’ve practiced.
Some say, do it “very quick”, others tell “semi-quickly” or stuff like that.
As quick as maybe Dhalsims hard trials? Please compare it to another combo, if possible.
It only makes sense to do it very quickly or else the High Jump doesn’t come out and Dan will block the Ultra. It also makes sense to do it very quick because cr.lp has almost no stun time. Hard Trial 3 teaches you that Viper can HLJ into almost anything I believe. Same as Hard Trial 2, Fierce Punch -> TK Feint can lead into a combo as well, but you have to do it very quickly(most commonly FFF).

This trial makes sense after seeing how effective it can be, I saw the last part done in a block string but instead of cr.lp, cr.mp was used which is much easier since it stuns.
I just finished Viper’s 5th with a way that may help regular DS3 users.
I just couldn’t do the HJC – Burning Kick. I tried all the ways posted here and elsewhere. I don’t know if it was poor execution on my part or it’s just really hard to do the motions with the pad.
Anyway, I learned that the HJ registers anytime during the Seismo, so I entered the seismo input, then :db::uf:, waited for the punch in the ground, and then :qcb:+:hk:.
It worked like a charm first time I tried it (missed the ultra, though, remember to hesitate…)
i have succeed the hard mod 3 trial. I have did 23p6 neutral 2369ppp but the last movement must be like a dhalsim teleport it’s very important. Thks u everybody ;). But now my problem is 5 so 2hp 14 pp 3 hp 23pp 29 214hk but my burning kick is not confirm This is a bug no ?
