What about using EX TK, having one button mapped for PPP so -
focus attack, down + fierce. qcb + ppp, qcf + ppp, qcf + ppp?

I think the EX TK feint takes too long. Ive been having trouble with fp tk feints though. Does it have to be super duper quick? Because Ive heard people say its actually later than the other ones.
There’s nothing really “quick” about HP TK Feints. you just have to do it at the right time after you hit someone with an attack into the HP knuckle. Basically just hit 2 punches just before Viper starts to take to the air with the move. You technically have to be quick with hitting the 2 punch buttons since there’s little room for error in what time you press them. Yet you still have to do wait about half a second before the HP Knuckle actually starts to come out.
It’d be nice if the game was called Guilty Gear so that it would visually show you the cancel timing.
Ahhh thank you.
I only have 1 left. C.Viper #5
She is definitely the hardest out of all of them, JUST 1 MORE.
Any tips?
I’ll just throw in here about fierce tk feinting. At first I had a helluva time trying to do them not really understanding what everyone meant about it being slower than the others.
I don’t know if it’s possible to do a standalone fierce tk feint because there is such a tiny window to input the cancel. But when you do a fierce tk after the c.hp you have a lot more time.
The best advice has already been given, but all I can say is that you’ll be smacking yourself when you find the timing and the lightbulb above your head comes on and everything everyone has been saying finally clicks. At least that’s what happened to me.
I’m trying this but I must be doing something wrong(see bolded above)
Do I hit the punch on the D, or the F? cause if I hit it on the F it becomes a standing punch.
Think of your numpad as your dpad/joystick.
7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3 < < < Press here.
So basically hit the diagonal in the dpad inbetween down and forward. Which is basically pressing them both at the same time. It’s not just hitting down or forward. It’s inbetween down and forward. Basically :df: + :hp:
I just did a couple by themselves…1.2.3(held on 2) and them some ST’es, and I got it every time, thank bro.
Now let’s see if I can do the whole thing…
As Ekim said, eventually everything should click. As bad as #5 is, it is repeatable once you figure it out.
You also need to find what’s most comfortable to you after the D+FP, DB, B+FP. As ppl have mentioned, you do need to pause before you cancel (don’t mash on cancel).
For me, since we have to follow with 3 button presses, it’s easiest for me to do the correct dragon punch (F,D,DF) and not cheat with DF, DF.
So I do slowly F+PP, D+HP, DF+PP all in one motion. Works very well for me.
After that it’s just speed. When you get to Gen #5 you’ll feel more pain. At least I am feeling pain on that one
I have everything else done, Gens were easy…this on the other hand…
If I don’t do 1 thing wrong it’s another, all in all I’ve spent close to 12 hours trying to do #5(serious)
I’ve got it 4 times but it’s not counting the Fierce Flame Kick, and I know it’s because I’m not canceling the high jump fast enough.
12 fucking hours, I’m done for tonight…bright an early too waste god knows how many more fucking hours on this stupid shit.
Here you go, a video I put together tonight that shows all of Viper’s combos, with my hands showing and a breakdown of how to do each combo (and the visual aid is right there).
I hope it helps you guys! I don’t want to post this also in the video thread, though maybe someone here should do that if they find it helpful. I posted in the main SF4 video thread already, so I don’t want to spam this too many places.

now now, Gen’s 5 is not easy :arazz:
i didn’t find the Air Fierce Flame too hard to get. one of the earlier combos requires this; just roll it from d, db, b, ub, u, uf + FK.
just end in ub off the siesmo you jsut sjc a ground version so it still moves forward…too easy
just like you would do siesmo xx tk
I need help on the SJC part to ultra in Hard Trial 3. Can someone just tell me what the input is? Thanks.
freakin crap i just got hard trial #3 after taking a break from SF4 (RE5 and Killzone 2!). Now i got to trial #5. Is it better to cancel HP TK? or LP TK?
I’m having a hard time with Hard Trial #3. I can do the c.lp, SJC, Ultra by itself, but I can’t do it when I add the in the s.lk before the c.lp. It seems to just stop after the c.lp hits. Am I doing it too fast or slow? Help greatly needed
The motion I’m using is:
j.:hk:, :lk:, :d: + :lp:, :df::r::qcf::uf: + :3p:
You can ONLY cancel heavy TK. The others will not work. My vid might be of some assistance to see the timing there:
O-one, I’d guess you’re doing it too slow. Make sure you fully do the QCFs and finish on up-forward (or up). Throwing in the links means you should really start doing the ultra motion as you push LP, just as the move is starting to animate. Once the links are there, the timing just seemed that much faster to me.
Thanks for this!
I’ve been doing cr.FP > (neg edge) TK… but was doing PPP to cancel, then double fireball PPP which me do the ultra too far away.
going to try this tonight!
:wgrin: I finally got Deadly Beauty this morning! I found trial 4 & 5 considerably easier than 2 & 3 lol. This feels like such an accomplishment
I’ve actually navigated through all these pages, but I just want a confirmation.
Is the above mentioned button input the BEST way to do Hard Trial 3?
