C.Viper Moveset and Attributes

^ Practice getting the hj out without the BK. Once you have that down, add in f.K or something, but slightly delay it so the hj is confirmed to come out, then hit it.

Takes practice, and I’m not sure you can get it 100% every time if you’re using pad, but it should work.

after months of practice, i’m pretty confident in most of my basic and intermediate abilities with viper. the next thing i want to know is (sorry if this was posted before) how to do seismos into thunder knuckle feint. i mean, i know how to do the tk feint, but what’s the motion and timing for between the tk feint and seismo?

seismo, then do 248 and punch. then feint it like usual. the timing should be similar to double seismo.

Quick question after watching the SBO Quals. Combofiend scored a dizzy and then just jumping roundhoused into ultra. Is there any particular reason he did this? Does that jump in somehow reset the damage scaling?

i’m gonna assume this was for the kill if not i’d have to see the video.

How do you all do the tk and s.h. feints? I seem to can’t do any except for the Ex-feints. I assume they’re done like the others, by quickly tapping the punch button a second time, but that only works for ex versions for me.

uh… you gotta press 2 punch buttons after you perform the thunder knuckle or siesmo. down, down back, back, lp, mp + hp <----- that’s how I spam feints.

you said two punches, but you listed three there which would be the ex-feints that I’m doing.

Seriously? He listed the other 2 punches after a comma, meaning you press them after the lp button. Notice the lp, mp + hp. Not lp + mp + hp.

I think he just did it for show. There was no other reason to do it.

Does neutral jump MK have any use other than hitting the plane wing on Small Airfield?

J.HK into Ultra also damage scales a bit less than focus attack into ultra during a dizzy situation. Plus it’s a really easy attack to confirm into Ultra. Pretty much once the j.HK hits you know you can just spam the Ultra motion and it’ll connect.

Was definitely just for show. The ultra actually does less damage off a j.hk than it does just straight.

Im going to list all the motions for some of the moves which I remember, if anyone can post more I’ll edit this post and the OP can just take them and put them in the first post since I don’t remember all of them and some people might ask the motions to do things.

Seismo Hammer HJC into Seismo Hammer

1.- :dp: :p: (first Seismo) > :df::df::ub: :p: (second Seismo)
2.- :dp: :p: (first Seismo) > :df::df::uf: :p: (second Seismo)
3.- :dp: :p: (first Seismo) > :dp::r::uf: :p: (second Seismo)

Off The Ground Towards Burning Kick

1.- :qcb::uf: :hk:
2.- :qcb::ub::u::uf: :hk:

If you do this next to a kd’d opponent with forward or roundhouse you’ll cross them up as they wake up, if you do it with short you’ll hit em in the front.

For HJ OTG just tap the down part of the motion, for a regular you need to hold down a split second.

OTG Backwards Burning Kick Meter Builder

Can also be done with forward or short, depending on distance.

Fierce into Fierce TK Feint into cr. Fierce FFF

1.- :hp: (hit and hold) > :qcb: (release) > :mp::hp: > :d: :hp:

I don’t know another consistant way to do it.

And that would be most of the harder commands for viper. Fierce into ultra is done the same way as the FFF except that you need to go into > :qcf:x2 :lp::mp::hp: instead of cr. Fierce.

Any other motions or moves that you think can go in here please post and I’ll update this post so the OP can update his with this information.

I know it’s possible, and when I don’t have meter I try to use it when I remember to, but I can’t recall any vids showing this, really. I guess if you have any meter at all you wouldn’t care to use it, but without meter, it’s likely your best option, correct?

this might be old news, but I figured out a trick to doing midscreen FFF xx EX seismo xx sj burn kick, ultra

after the super jump, delay the air burn kick for as long as physically possible. to the point where you’re not parallel when you hit them, you’re a tiny bit higher in the air.

this makes the gap between you and the opponent as small as possible and ensures you don’t whiff the ultra. then its just a case of activating it when they’re around shoulder height, and boom.

I started getting a feel for whether or not my ultra would whiff, just based on where I did the burning kick. should mean with enough practice you don’t end up wasting your ultra midscreen and leaving yourself wide open.

I use it when I remember too. I think it looks rad.
