C.Viper Guide to just about everything

 1. if you buffer the motion slowly from halfcircle forward (while walking forward for instance) to qcb k to up forward it’ll come out low to the ground.

the 2 questions should both be answered by that i think.

Greetings Vipers,
I have been doing Vanilla trials and have managed to get pretty decent with FFF.
This short video helped, as it mentions to release the NE HP only when you get to back direction, which was the final piece for me to have a decent consistency with FFF.
Perhaps it may help others…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JcULVd46tc

Hm I guess its ok for trials but I wouldnt recommend to practice negative edging for real games. You will have to Fierce TK Feint other normals than a Fierce which require even faster pressing of buttons and obviously you cant negative edge those. Compared to other stuff viper has, F.TK feinting after a Fierce is actually one of the easier executional techniques. If you want to learn it properly I recommend the following steps:

1.) Start by doing a Fierce/Cr.Fierce into fierce TK. May sound silly, but do this a couple of times to get a feel for the Cancel window. If you fail at this step, go to character select screen and select M.Bison.
2.) Now do Fierce into fierce TK Feint (use mp+hp to feint). Do this until you can do it with near 100% consistency and it doesnt feel awkward anymore.
3.) Now its time to add another fierce after the feint. If you are lazy like me, you can do this by simply pressing mp+hp (that you used to feint) again. I wouldnt recommend the PPP button or using lp+mp to feint.
4.) Once you have gotten FFF down to decent consistency, you can now implement the ex seismo at the end. As you might have guessed, the easiest way is using mp+hp once more for the ex seismo.
5.) Now that you have the whole thing down, start grinding out the different enders (bk, mp.tk in corner, mless dash)

This method has the advantage of learning everything involved as seperate entities. When you are actually playing viper, it will be necessary to be able to stop FFF at any given step and go into smth else (like FF - crossup bk on block or FFcrMKxMp.TK if your too far). If you have always practised the entire thing, it will be glued together as one entity in your muscle memory and it will be difficult at first to seperate it again.
cheers for this thread mate! having so much trouble with the sjc to sismo, sismo chains and normal into ultra ill get there i guess, doesnt help having a pad.

awsome stuff, trying to pick up viper to up my excution + shes a pretty fun char

What is a 2 in 1 and does viper have anything like that?

idk what a 2 in one is, maybe ur thinking of what is commonly known as an option select? she has a few, they’re no that great overall tho very situational.

edit: i also removed flash’s stuff from the OP. its pretty outdated and in retrospect its just him making fun of new players with tidbits of advice.

EDIT: nvm found it

Could someone tell me what’s the easiest way to input ex seismo > meterless fadc > u1?

I am having the most god awful time trying to get this all connect just right. The ex seismo into meterless dash is easy enough, but I can never input the u1 motions fast enough before the opponent hits the ground. Are you supposed to buffer into the dash?

Yes, you can buffer the ultra into the dash. You don’t have to, but it certainly makes things easier. If your opponent is hitting the ground before your ultra, then it is possible you could be doing the meterless FADC too late after the seismo. If you can land the c.HK after the meterless FADC, then you are doing it fine and are just inputting the ultra too late.

Thank you, Floor. I’m still not able to land that Ultra but the c.HK after dash you mentioned gives me at least a marker to work at! Good stuff m8.

On that note, yeah, I am definitely doing the ultra or dash way too slow. That c.HK harder to land than I thought it’d be hah.

I read somewhere here on srk that EX seismo SJC FADC > c.HK is a “1f link”. I think it depends on how quickly your dash comes out. Obviously the later the dash, the harder it is (or even impossible) to connect with c.HK

Yea sometimes it feels like it’s a 1 1 frame link other times it doesnt.

the way i posted the meterless fadc is the best/easiest/most consistent way to do it. You have to make sure that you are canceling with the super jump, its very timing specific. make sure you are doing the superjump cancel on the hit of the ex siesmo.

That way is great but “for me” (not saying your method is bad at all) its very inconsistent alot of times so I sjc meterless dash differently. So long as people can do it using said method its all good!

how do you do meterless fadc mohako? I like this tiger knee motion but sometimes its liek ti has a buffered in dash but then it doesn’t i just need that dash to come out all the time should i be doing, 6 2 3 6 9 6(motions) for the dash?

great guide i didnt see this befor today awsome

believe me when i say i’ve dumped hours into figuring out why i’m messing up meterless FADC, and i’ve reduced them to this list.

 1. I was not properly hitting the motion for dp. usually from 2p side, i’d skim over the down forward and do forward, down, forward upforward and ofc, viper goes flying in the air.
 2. doing the motion too fast and getting the late buffer for the super jump, but no fadc cause i did it too fast and the timing is wrong.
 3. fadc but you use meter because you didn’t get the super jump cancel, only the dash cancel
 4. you get the super jump cancel, but you miss the dash, and viper just whiffs the focus attack.

that list should help you with any problems, you tell me which one of those you’re doing, and I can tell you exactly where you’re messing up.

just gonna put that last post in FAQ

I can get it right some of the time, but most of the time I’m getting number 4.
