Thanks, I guess in most cases if I want to kill off a focus crumple with 0 bars I’ll have to use x-factor (ex tk seems to kill a lot of characters though).
Been in sort of a team crisis lately, been switching between vip/dante/strider and vip/vergil/ammy and even considering viper may cry. Breaking 900K is ideal but I haven’t even been able to break 840k (and so vergil lives and life is horrible).
Ok guys here is a question for ya… I recently picked up viper and started a new team of C.Viper/FB/Ammy and things are going well but I have some synergy issues.
First which assist would be the best from firebrand to help Viper overall? The swoop has a funky path, the dive is SUPER unsafe and the fireball doesn’t do much help. I use the swoop sometimes to help with zoning, the dive gives untech if timed right and you can do some Sj box jump mix-ups with the fireball. Really what I need is a better way to get in on opponents and I have been playing her on point specifically to learn but I fall short on about half the cast.
The second question is more or less the prior in reverse, Firebrand is my ace and I haven’t found much use for Viper’s assists in his overall gameplay.

you could put firebrand 1st and give viper thunder knuckle assist. Then when under pressure you alpha counter, S cancel the thunder knuckle recovery and staircase loop to death
Well the thing is that I run Firebrand on point normally and in my time I’ve found multiple location exclusive loops that allow me to safely throw reset or unblockable swoop with high success rates solo. Plus with FB I rarely block or use meter (I save it all for fully-loaded fullscreen Ammy comebacks) given that his zone game is incredibly solid and I normally safely cover myself with m.wallcling high/low.
Adding viper in as second (giving my team the option to flip-flop as needed) is the final goal but until I learn her meta and OKI better I’ve been running her on point to force myself to adapt towards a broader range of situations yakno? Bringing me to why I am asking how firebrand can help Viper get in on opponents because although her zoning is way legit it is equally not very exciting to sustain, or watch and somewhat unsafe.
I will definitely give your suggestion a try; however once again I tend to stay so far when opening up opponents with FB and unless I’m eating a tatsu/hyper or something I rarely even reach any type of significant blockstun
Hey all I’m running Viper/Nova/Doom. Recently made the switch from Tron to Viper. I am having a hard time with the l.sismo doom beam bk(dont know which bk to use) relaunch part. is there something i could do to make it consistently hit? also are there any things or pieces of tech that i should know when playing viper?
After the knockdown, call Strange and do light seismo and then tiger knee a light burn kick. So the seismo will hit, then the first bolt, then the burn kick, and lastly the second bolt. Afterwards, you can relaunch.
You can just light Seismo and hard BK without the tiger knee, the execution would be much simpler especially if you’re playing with latency, unless there’s some sort of benefit to doing so I’m not aware of?
The combo i do with Viper and Strange doesnt allow me to get anything after launcher.
St.L,Cr.M,St.H, QCFM, Cr.M, St.H, QCFM, QCFH, 2x Reps of the staircase loop, St.H, St.S, SJ M,M,H, double jump, M,M,H,S, Bolts, L Seismo, TK Burnkick, St.S then nothing
I’ve been experimenting with ex seismo confirms and wanted to know what people here do that balances reliability of confirming and damage - for example, avoiding the following: its highly reliable to just mash launcher and go into air series, but not that damaging; and its highly damaging to superjump into j.h j.h then 3 reps of staircase but not that reliable (for me anyway) to land at any distance.
I personally go sj.addf S - htk feint - 2 reps of staircase, and if I have the reaction go for a modified box dash loop when they are father away.
Anybody care to share their bnb ex seismo confirm?
Just want to say that I’ve gotten decent with staircase loops and I’m able to do your combo but with 3 bk feints and double H burn kick after the bolts relaunch then doing S air S burst time. It’s giving me 940K or so damage after the hyper off a jump light. 1.1 million damage with the Strange DHC. You just have to be fast with the non staircase part of the combo.
