No, it doesn’t. good catch. atleast i think it doesnt.
especially when bison’s jump floats quite abit compared to other characters…but i’m too lazy to test this out, since i don’t really use sagat.
besides, after a blocked cr.fp like that shouldn’t you do a st.fp to stuff any jumping attempt? I know i catch people with that alot when i’m k.sagat…run cr.fp, run st.fp and they get stuffed (stole that shit off roger aka ratio1beatdown). Probrably work in c-groove too.
It has alot of frame advantage, Bison can still block.
I tried it.
Early as in when Bison takes off into the air? Considering how effective this tact seems to be looks like it could be used to bait stuff too…
Wow…good job buddy…way to keep making these useless threads. Hi, I can’t stop a jumpin! omgomg! help me srk! so god damn sad…puleez.
Please die.
TIP! Nobody gives a shit about ur sf teams, nobody gives a shit what shitty music ur listening to…and def nobody would take ur shitty advice … hey! guess what? go fuck a goat!
<off topic>I wonder how long it’ll take anti-retard aka (the) geese to get ip banned again</off topic>
Tip! nobody gives a shit about you, or your shitty “tips”. Why’s everyone tell me to go fuck a goat?!
And yes, Retard is the geese.
Buk, ban him please.
Won’t be soon enough. Great info in this thread for me, my bison vs sagat is terrible. After reading through I think my spacing has a lot to do with it. Its sounding like I stay too far away with bison. Anyways, good thread.
HAK - go fuck a goat plz. (i want to do what all the cool kids are doing too!)
I still like KCXJ’s idea of having character specific stickies in the GS section, because the usual character threads blow.
the ban wasn’t permanent?
back on topic…
have you tried to see if a st.fp after the blocked cr.fp stuff bisons jump attempt before he even gets a chance to j.lk? how about a tiger knee? I wonder if a lk tiger knee would be safe?
I guess you could just roll to reset the positions so bison doesn’t get an advantage from the situation…it’s not like everything in this game is punishable.
that’s just a setup for the range he’s talking about, besides if you did s.LPx2, c.HP, preemptive s.HP/s.HK to stop his jump, you’re gonna eat an RC PC, or worse, scissor into custom.
I tried out what H&K said about just doing DP early to trade, but I still think your best option is to either roll away or take the hit and regain the advantage with some jabs. You can put him in a mixup situation here everytime you take the hit off an early j.LK; he has to guess whether you’re going to throw him, s.LP him, or just block if you think he’s gonna activate.
Rugal can do the same thing with the same setup on Sagat.
HAK - go fuck a goat.
The whole cross up takes place because when you do a DP, you have to duck down for the d, d/f frames. When you do this, a character who normally wouldn’t cross you up if you are standing does. If you stand long enough during the jumpin, you tallness prevents the character from completing their crossup jump trajectory, and you can DP them. Its risky but works. Against Bison the safest option is roll cr MK into high tiger super. It works pretty consistently because Bison has a slow high jump and loses trip guard when doing the j LK. You just have to learn to judge his distance right and alter your DP mindset and go to roll mindset at these ranges. Not the easiest thing to do, but good players will do it better than others. That basically the difference between a top player and an average scrub with good reflexes.
not sure if anyone has said this yet, didnt read all of the posts, but jump back fierce knocks bison out of pretty much every cross-up i think. i guess the disadvantage is that you have to have time to do the jump back fierce, might not be possible at certain ranges if you are ducking.
huh, what are we talking about now? since when can bison cross up with j.lk?
Bison can cross up with j.lk,j.mk, or j.hk. cheap fucker.
