C - Groove Lvl 2 Taunt Cancels

I was just messing around with some C - groove and noticed that you can cancel lvl 2’s with Taunts (I am on the Xbox version, we have no arcade around here so I am stuck with it.)

At first this seem totally useless, but a cool way to kill an oponnents character. Then I got to thinking.

The only practical use for this that I could think of had to do with Rolento and his grenade taunt.

I used the lvl 2 grenade super (qcb x2 + strong) and canceled it into his taunt. I got it to work when he fully rolls into the corner and brings the opposing character next to him. If you time it right the grenade goes off right as the opposing character wakes up and you get a free anything. It’s highly situational but I thought it would be cool to get the lvl 2 a taunt and a cr. forward lvl 1 maybe?

That’s all I got.

Sakura’s taunt is top-tier.

especially when you rc it to stuff wake up supers.

todo’s taunt is useful, it increases the hits of his cho-kasaneate by 3 or 4.

or you could just cancel into his command grab for the same effect.

Do Dan’s qcfx2+k, then taunt in the air is my favorite.

Finish up Kyo’s level 2 qcfx2+p with his taunt. If I remember correctly, he stays on fire for a little while. Looks pretty cool.

You can extend akuma’s and Evil Ryu’s level 2 combos by cancelling into taunt although I’m too lazy to explain.
