I found a nice deal on a modified Madcatz SF4(PS3) for around 75$ with shipping.
It has SANWA JLF-TP-8YT stick, SANWA OBSF-30 buttons.
Seller in the description described that the stick is working with his PS3 but since WIN 10 update he is unable to use it.
I don’t own any console just a pc, has anyone figured out a way for it to work on WIN 10?
Here is the link to the polish verion of ebay https://allegro.pl/madcatz-sf4-arcade-stick-ps3-sanwa-full-custom-i7375255638.html .
Do you think it is worth it and does anyone have the same stick to test with win10 since I can’t test it for myself?
I knew there was some great big issue with getting those sticks to work on PC. I bought one myself and never got it to work (I’ve always had a ps3 and played games on that with it). I think the only work around was getting a usb 2.0 card to slap into your pc or using a converter of some sort to trick it into to thinking its an xbox controller. Now there are ways of modifying this even more to put a Brooks UFB into it and solve the connection problem and put more compatibility into it. If you want to go that route or just buy something to get and just play that’s up to you.
You can swap the PCB pretty easily. How much you will need to spend depends on what functionality you want in addition to PC, if any. Options range from about $10 for PC/PS3 to $90 for the Brook UFB (which covers PS3/PS4/Xbone/360/PC, with price points in between covering more specific functionality (such as PS4/PS3/PC or retro consoles). Every current aftermarket PCB I’m aware of covers PC, though some have a native Xinput mode, which removes the need for a wrapper program with PC games that don’t support direct input (which often occurs when devs are lazy).
So yeah, $75 shipped isn’t a bad deal. The joystick and buttons alone would run you about $50, and a good empty case at a low price is sometimes hard to come by. You can easily and inexpensively replace the wear parts (microswitches, lever spring) if needed. Better deals do come around sometimes (at least in the US), but I don’t feel that you’d be taking a bath on that one. The SE/Brawlstick/TvC case is solid and very easy to work with.
Buying the pcb is almost unpossible in poland unless I am willing to deal with aliexpress sellers that might give me a broken board 1/10 times or with expensive shipping from US. The option with connecting a usb hub to the pci express port wont work since I am using a All in One pc wich doesnt have the pci port nor space in the casing.
Is Poland that hard to buy stuff from outside countries?
Last time I wanted to buy something from amazon the shipping cost was around 30-50 $
If Ali Express is your best option, these are cheap and they work, buy two if shipping is an expensive hassle and you’re worried about getting a bad unit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Zero-Delay-Arcade-Game-USB-Encoder-joystick-controller-with-5Pin-Sanwa-wires-for-MAME-PC-fighting/32854255954.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.163.1a2a67c6BNdXyn&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_5_10152_10065_10151_10344_10068_10130_10342_10547_10343_10546_10340_5724715_10548_10341_10545_10696_10084_5724015_10083_10618_5724315_10307_5724215_5724115_10059_100031_5725015_10103_5724915_10624_10623_10622_10621_10620,searchweb201603_51,ppcSwitch_5&algo_expid=aa6d417c-5899-4256-9f41-e7a142099752-22&algo_pvid=aa6d417c-5899-4256-9f41-e7a142099752&priceBeautifyAB=0
I have a bunch of PCBs to sell if you want.
I live in Paris, France.
Shipping to Poland shouldn’t be too expensive
