I think you could get a lot more by just doing the standard corner combo after the finger shot where you fly and go into jump loops. Especially considering a standard bnb launcher can get you like 6-700k with just 1 bar…

Nah it has to do with the sound effect of the pillar and hitting the foe, the slow voice of Dormammu and the fact I heard it wrong the first time. When you hear something, it cannot be unheared.

Is there a list of characters and supers that works with something like Zak Bennet’s dormammu combo after his stalking flare?

He does it around 5:00 in that video if youre unsure of what I’m talking about.

He can do stuff like that on his own you just need them to be a bit higher up. I think if the super gets them to 1 an 1/2 dorm height above the ground you’re set. Im sure plenty of characters can do it at the right dhc timing.

I started off a little list in the team composition thread just out of interest the other day, the ones on that were:

Then Karst suggested a long list of other it might work with. Feel free to make you own list and post it up, I’m busy atm and I’ve been doing a lot of listing shit recently for very, very specific stuff.

I have so many potential candidates but no way to test them :frowning: I’d throw out a bunch of them but they could be so wrong.

What are you guys doing for xfac combos?
In 2 and 3 I have a lot of trouble doing the dark matter tele combos because its so fast so I’m just sticking to the launch h fly l,h qcfl, mh qcf l s.

Dormammu does huge damage in XF2 and 3. Few things survive his basic combo. In X-Factor, the goal is always to kill as fast as possible.

He can also get two dark holes in his dark hole flight combo bnb in any level of xfactor. Does like 800k before super iirc.

One of his best XF combos off of a throw is just to do Flame Carpet xx XFC, then go into the j.LHS loop. XF1 gets you 2 reps, XF2 gets you 3, XF3 gets you 4. Builds good meter and you can probably kill without spending any, though it does kill slightly more XF time. Tough to do off of ground throws mid-screen.

Anyway, I found a good unblockable setup that works well with low-hitting assists that travel a decent distance, such as Deadpool a, X-23 b, Felicia a, and particularly She-Hulk a, because it travels the farthest and is easy for Dorm to combo off of if it hits. Plus if the spell hits them raw, it will OTG anyway and allow for a full combo.

Basically, use 2D1C against a grounded opponent when they’re blocking, call the assist as early as possible, teleport and air S.

There are ways to get out of it, but not many. Some characters can swing right after the initial pillar and still be safe, like those with invincible uppercuts or supers with fast startup. Most will just get hit by the 2nd part of the spell (the rocks), and depending on the benefit of the trade, you can still combo. They can also pushblock a lot, but this is risky. Mashing pushblock will just get them hit by the 2nd part. Pushblocking the first part properly still puts them at frame disadvantage and they will have to block the rocks. So it requires specific knowledge and practice of the setup to get out of.

I’ve been making good use of this in casuals lately. TimTim, I talked to you about this in the She-Hulk thread a while ago, wondering if it’s been working out for you.

Ofc it is such a godlike setup. I find myself using she-hulk less and less but when I do have her on I’m doing either raw tag setups or unblockables I’ve been putting in work with yours.

yeah this does alot of damage , but you cant get 2 holes in xf1 , only combo them starting in xf2 im afraid.

Man I forgot how much fun it was watching zak bennet play. Does anyone know (cheech maybe you know) if it’s possible to catch zak bennet on any stream in the UK. Does he ever show up to wso? I wanna steal more of his dorm tech and watch his FB tear it up.

So does anyone here use Dorm with Vergil’s rapid slash? his assist is pretty good, it helps keep away, if it hits you can confirm into a dark hole, or a pillar, or chaotic flame. or you can just hit them with dark matter etc. plus it lets you relaunch in the corner.

Ball into devil trigger lets you set up a 50/50 with Vergil’s teleport. There’s a lot of cool stuff between these two. They only problem is that theyre both meter whores… but theyre both great XF characters and great chars w meter, so if my team gets wiped out and i have one of them left, i still have a chance.

dorm doesnt really help vergil much, but thats why i have vergil 3rd.
