I had an incident very similar to this when I was 6. Only, the kid was my “friend” and I wasn’t twice his size. Luckilly, he had a bunch of tires to break his fall(s).
Columbine was not only caused by bullying, that’s as much of a strawman argument as blaming it on Doom 2 or Mason. There are many factors that combine to make somebody go truly apeshit and react like that, and it takes a real prolonged cluster fuck of a mess to get there.
And bullying really only started being a major problem now. For a myriad of reasons, it just wasn’t as big of a problem back in the day. You can point the fingers in a lot of directions though. School had more physical activities with violent output options, and single parent homes weren’t as common. This is critical for boy’s who need a physical outlet or they will do worse, and who are pretty much fucked for life if they don’t grow up with an actual father. This also translates into why boys are doing worse in school now than they ever did.
Societal factors have changed for girls as well, and this has panned out in increased sexual activity and aggressive behavior, which are both negative as well, though it hasn’t been as bad as it has been for boys.
So we are seeing an increase in kids acting out in ways that are destructive, and the results are more life threatening and life changing than they were before.
People are just throwing a fit because nobody wants to get their ass in gear and fix the issues that are causing it. So we think we can magic it away. At the end of the day adults are to blame for not providing a proper family for the kids, society is to blame for selling them on the fact that have to make a ton of cash and live some bullshit fantasy life, and the media is to blame for not calling people out on the actual reasons.
But it won’t change, because it’s easier to have anti bullying campaigns and pump kids full of drugs than it is to change peoples behavior.

Kids are stupid, they make the mistake of thinking fat people are all flab, which is rarely the case. He’s learned his lesson though.
He was also thinking that roughing up a kid larger than him would score him big points with his friends. It worked pretty well, too… up until the point where his plan went horribly, horribly wrong.
