Yeah I found out about some of the escapes afterwords, apparently crouch blocking also makes it whiff? I haven’t seen escapes for Ken’s, Rose’s or Seth’s yet though. Unless it works the same way, but mostly people have tested Sagat’s so far. Still a really dumb oversight by the dev team.
Information is light so far, but here is some of what we know.
Right so, almost everyone can escape Seth’s with a backdash (lol Sagat can’t). Taking a single boom to neutralize his ultra is something i try to do anyway, so no big deal here. The only problem is if he doesn’t have to FADC so he could bait you for free (still only take 1 boom of damage).
Rose can be neutralized with a backdash, so they blow 2 bars to hit you with one fireball.
I’m not sure about Ken right now, right now this really doesn’t seem to bad. Really stupid, yea. Probably a candidate for a patch like the “infinite patch” to SF4.

i don’t know about it being a dumb oversight by the dev team. who in their right minds would do that particular set of moves to get this “unblockable ultra” [ throw > fireball FADC ultra it’s not even a hit confirm or nothing. ]… literally no one lol. also blocking after the ultra flash works for all of them so… not really so dumb afterall.

No - that only works with Sagat. For the other’s you must react to their FADC BEFORE the flash, though their might be char specific escapes that you can input during the flash, like EX SRK.
