Buffalo, NY- We drink tears as liquid refreshment

we can easily move games to Baldy. The situation at UB is always fluid

I wasn’t seriously suggesting super in actual play. It was just a theoretical bit to show how ridiculous it could be. And it’s the same when I was talking about ex green hand and seth and blanka. That was all about thinking about this shit in the context of a video to show off some weird mechanics.

BUT, I was thinking that it would be more realistic in a mix-up situation when you might have to guess high or low, but ex would help. Then you wouldn’t need to guess and still manage to save meter. And in that case you don’t really need to time it. You know a jump-in, or whatever, is coming. And you might want to use ex kongo anyway. So why not go for the kara into regular kongo for a chance to save meter? In some situations it could bite you in the ass. So you probably won’t want to ever use it. But I still think it’s good to know that something like that is possible anyway.

Hey, sorry jug. But I like to ruminate about both the unrealistic shit as well as what could be useful in an actual match. And I don’t believe that just because you can’t make use of an idea in every match that it’s necessarily useless. No, it’s not something that you should focus on. That’s not the point. But being aware what a character can potentially do, any character, has to be a plus. However minor a plus it is.

Anyway, so it looks like the ssf4 curve ball might be the last character? I’m gonna call it right now… It’s not some middle-aged dude. It’s probably a kid. They wanted to make abel into some kind of lanky kid and I think there might actually be some chance that they’ll revisit that idea. Though the only evidence I have to point to that would be boxer’s ending anime. There’s something in the next game that’s going to involve him. Could possibly be the new char.

I already ordered a setup for it.

Cles that’s some hot shit! It’s always great to see new hardware coming in. Here’s hoping that it doesn’t become a health risk.

adharaiojdasioj So I might be able to make it to this thing on Thurs. My class is canceled, but in its place I have a group meeting and Kendo practice. So I may be tired and / or smelly, but I’ll at least come over to check out what’s going on Thurs night.

Rule #1: never use kongo unless you know the move you anticipate your opponent will use will activate it. I never guess with Kongo. If I see a jump in, you get regular kongo. NO ONE in their right mind is gonna purposely absorb a jump in hit with EX kongo knowing full well that all jump in attacks are high anyway, then kara kongo to absorb another hit, and then hit with the counter. your putting yourself in worse situation for NOTHING! when you kara kongo a chunk of your health is already gone! you wanna mash out another kara kongo to counter another move that probably won’t come out when you coulda did it with the first move he did? COME ON!!! LOL!!

kara kongo is completely useless… it will never be practical in any situation, period. I’m like u, I like to explore shit and see what stuff is good for, but sometimes the journey stops. in all actuality, kara kongo SCREWS ME OVER, because of the short cut commands, negative edge and the way my thumb rubs off the d pad after I do congo. this happens on the daily basis in matches, and I NEVER EVER absorbed a hit using kara
kongo in an actual match… SO FUCK KARA KONGO!! knowing that gouken is capable of this does no one any good what so ever.

Why keep dragging this out, man? Just let it go, I said I had no problem with you aside from fighting games, and you disagreed. I’m not scheduling against your game nights or trying to make people pick sides in this, just let it die man.

And yes Ryan I never said I’d take it seriously lol, I just want to play around with Dudley. Stranger things have happened I guess, we’ll see. I’m not buying it, if Jon buys it I may not even go farther than messing around with friends back home online.

wait…

wait wait wait.

IKARUUUUUGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAA???

Oldest sf trick in the book after tick throw is empty jump-in into low hit.

Har, you do this shit by accident. That’s hilarious.

That’s where you get it wrong. It has nothing to do with you not wanting to play me in games and everything to do with your ass saying I’m not allowed over at your house if you have people over for games. Pretty retarded, since I simply can avoid playing you, but you went there anyways. Meaning if I wanted to play games and people decided to go to your place to meet up, I am Shit out.

It’s a fairly big insult to me. Nice job tryin’ to play the good guy in the situation though.

Aside from that, I am done with it just don’t show your ass around my house for games or my events and do whatever you need to do to stay happy kid.

Issue overwith.

Brian- Twinkle Star Sprites next!

Never said you weren’t allowed at my house, you inferred that. But you decided that’s how it is, so that’s how it is.

this shit is so stupid and is just gonna make our scene weaker for it. both of you guys need to swallow your pride and let by gones be by gones. i haven’t heard both sides of the story but from what i have heard chris doesn’t wanna game with cha because of " cha’s attitude during gaming" and if thats the case thats bs because there have been plenty of times when chris’s attitude during games was hella negative and aggressive.

this shit is retarded and in a year when our crew is half of what it use to be i guess yall will be the ones to blame.

like i said swallow your pride, we are adults and should be able to work these things out. we dont need more conflict and drama in our crew. Des was man enough to apologize and don’t see why this can’t be any different

just my two cents. love this crew, its honestly one of the things that makes me enjoy living in buffalo. would be sad to see it go or become weak over some bs.

also next week sat is the tourny so we need to figure out whos going, driving etc. ill drive i can fit 5 but would perfer 4

So, while I’d love to go stomp face at the tourny, 90% chance I won’t be going. I think that’s the last day my girl’s gonna be in town, so you’ll all have to hand out beat downs without me.

I don’t think I’ll be able to make the tournament either. That is my weekend to cover hospice admissions, so I don’t think I’d be able to get out of a day for a cuse tournament. My brother might want to go if someone has space for him, but that’s up to you guys. In other news…I think we should have an update by tonight about games at UB? I have class 730-1 and work 1-9 tomorrow so I can’t check the internets :frowning:

it’s not funny at all lol. but yeah, in that situation EX kongo would be viable. because when you land land next to me, I know if you try to hit me (high or low) ex kongo will beat it. but I thought you meant
using EX kongo to stuff just random jump ins is good lol

Brian/Kyle/Chris: Yeah what Kyle said lol, plus at the end of the day both of ya’'ll are going to have to look in the mirror and make some adjustments. Brian, just maybe you might seem a little mad/annoyed/w/e
when you play games? you might not actually be, but make an effort to try not to seem that way from here on out if you haven’t already. Chris, maybe deciding not to play games with Brian anymore is a little bit drastic? yeah your not sayin you don’t like Brian anymore but playing video games is 1st choice of things to do when your hangin with Brian lol, take that out the equation and I could understand how he could feel offended and take things the way he’s takin it. and Really I’ve seen you get HEATED while playing games numerous times. If we could tolerate you, you could tolerate dealing with Brian lol.

This is where the gap is. I readily admitted that I had anger issues, and I wasn’t able to resolve those. This was a huge factor in me not showing up for games anymore. I’m ok playing Tekken in small groups right now and even then I have to check myself sometimes, but I still have no intention of playing all that seriously or entering tournaments. I also fully admitted my share of the responsibility in all of this, and said that there was no reason for us to hate or drag out some stupid feud just because we don’t get along well while playing fighting games. His response was something like “well fighting games is what I do, so if we don’t do that then there’s not much to talk about.”

I never banned him from my house, I never tried to start any drama, and I’m purposely avoiding his game nights for scheduling time for a few people to come over to my house to play videogames. Which is ridiculous in itself since I shouldn’t need permission to have people over at my house. I do it anyway to be courteous and avoid making people pick sides in some ridiculous situation that shouldn’t even be an issue.

The scene isn’t broken up, you guys can all decide where to go with it, and Chach is still holding game nights, so why is any of this even an issue? I already apologized for my fault in this and he had none of it, so this whole “swallow your pride” thing isn’t something that’s gonna fall on my head. The only thing I’ve said to anyone on this issue is “don’t worry about me and him, and don’t pick sides, just make your own judgements.”

http://www.djcutman.com/ this guy played at the party I was at last saturday…very good set, check it out.

Chris you did say: “I don’t want you over when I host games”. So yea, I did take it that way, because you also later inferred “If Jon wants you over to play games, that his business, he can do what he wants.” Which also means to me that only if Jon invites me, I can come over for games to play others, silly. The reason I get heated over it, is because you wanna play Tekken, our Tekken crew already has enough issues getting together. Actively working to exclude me from a night where I can play the rest of the crew is counter productive for them and me, since we all are still interested in competing and repping Buffalo in tournaments, practice time is precious. I’m not demanding you ‘get my permission’, I’m asking why the hell I can’t play a crew where my play time is already limited against?..

That was my beef, and still is. You can spin it any way you want. You said many times that we had that ‘talk’ before we actually did, which should have been obvious from my suprize, that you didn’t relay your feelings on the matter well enough in the first place.

At the end of the day you could have been upfront and said “Let’s not play against each other anymore, in any game. But still work to keep this crew solid and not cause any distractions.” WHICH IS FINE, it’s not like I took pleasure in playing you (in most games) to begin with.
But you definitely implied that I was not welcome at your crib when you host games yourself. Which caused me to say wtf after all the times we have tolerated your antics and rants and I still welcomed you to my house regardless. Not playing, and dis-inviting someone are two separate matters.

You say now that I am allowed to come over, we’ll see if that ever happens and I’m more than willing to talk it out if need be.

To the rest of you:

Chris was right about one thing. This isn’t about ‘swallowing pride’ and letting shit go. I wasn’t an active participant in Chris’s feelings against me until I confronted him on aim about why he wasn’t answering my questions about coming over with my ps3.
He then told me the story you see before you today, though to me the context was much different on that day. Pride has nothing to do with it, it was just a slap in the face given how nice I’ve been to the guy and how much of his attitude I tolerated in MY HOUSE, to say I’m not welcome unless his roomate decided to invite me to his…and WHO would wanna do that and cause an awkward situation? Nobody. So Chris set that table, and I am being as upfront about how I feel about it as I can be.

The moment Chris brought this issue up to me, I realized that other people might actually think I am a displeasure to play against (I honestly had no idea). I mean I am aware I’ve had a few outbursts and can get salty over a bad session, but shit, I HAD NO IDEA anyone would feel that I am no fun to play against ever. So I have taken active steps to be less agitated and more agreeable while playing. Has anyone noticed this? Besides that, I can’t even think of the last time I had an angry outburst (Chris cites me yelling at little Jeff about a Cammy question he asked when his Sagat finished raping my face off)… that was probably the last time, and Jeff P didn’t even remember it or take literal offense, Chris did for him. I also apologized to the kid later… But honestly, how many times do I blow up at someone? I need honest answers. Because I honestly thought my incidents were fairly seldom and often followed by an apology.

As far as me and Chris goes, that’s between us. It’s not about ego, nor is it about drama. It’s about me not getting an upfront story and getting bothered over it.

The crew is still the same, our game nights are still the same and the way we all talk is still the same. This was brought to public light by me, because I felt details needed to be aired and they have been. Chris says I misunderstood, I don’t think I did, and we’ll solve that matter whenever we talk next. It’s inevitable that it will happen at some point and we will move froward from there.

-B

eh this isn’t something we should even be making judgments on IMO. it’s something between you and him and we’ll just stay out of it till it’s all resolved.

with that said. more ssf4 hype!

damn ibuki’s fighting style actually is fucking cool. i might have to consider playing her too lol. she also jumps pretty high when she did her super. i’m not sure if that’s part of her super move or an actual super jump? viper part 2. lol

fei long getting punched in the nuts just for lawlz.

DUDLEY SOUNDS ULTRA GAY BTW!

edit:

honest answer, you don’t have outbursts often that’s for sure and i’ve never seen you yell at anyone [ i wasn’t there for the jeff p incident ]. it’s never a displeasure playing you, however i do get a little irked when i see you throw your controller and walk out of a room. i feel uncomfortable because it makes me think that you hate playing against me, which probably isn’t the reason to begin with. plus, that hasn’t happened since our last tourney saturday night which was forever ago so w/e on that haha. speaking of which, usually we always tend to be at different stations so we never get to play very often. definitely should stalk w/e station you’re at next game night haha

Makoto looks really slow and really boring. :expressionless:
IBUKI on the other hand looks like an absolute blast to play.

im super excited to try out Ibuki fo sho.

cha to me, you dont get pissed anymore more then the rest of us, ive had my nights when i just get very upset, say fuck and walk out. i think its normal for most people to feel that way if you’re passionate about something
