For a good week or so, I was considering canceling my pre-order after it was announced that Bryan wouldn’t be available day one, but that’s what I get for already deciding that he was in the game out of sheer hype. Now that’s all sort of worn off, but the game doesn’t quite look the same now that I know I won’t be playing Bryan out the gate…
Still, I’ve decided to play a secondary team I had in mind and wait for Bryan’s arrival to unleash my dream team. I was definitely thinking of Orbital Heel has a ground bouncing command overhead, similar to Ken’s towards roundhouse (not sure if that’s still in the game, maybe only on counter hit), and I wanted Gatling Gun to be a special move with the EX wall bouncing, but I saw that Jin had something very similar, so I was thinking of Chains of Misery being a special with a wall bouncing EX version. I think Fisherman’s Slam should be part of Bryan’s Cross Art when he’s on point, since everyone hits the opponent in the other direction one way or the other. I’m actually kind of hype for that. Also, the voice acting has to be just right. It wouldn’t feel right playing Bryan if his laugh is off.
The one thing I’m pretty curious about is his taunt. I can’t think of any character in a Capcom game who’s taunt leads to follow ups and damage. Do you think it’ll be in the game? And if so, as his regular taunt or as a move?

Wow is his stance weird. And OMG his super is so bad ass.
Some negatives I saw. Slow walk speed and his laugh sounds pretty ass to be honest
After watching the video, his grabs and punches remind me of a beefed up Q without charges.

-seems they gave him his snake dash and has follow up after it (ws+2 and fisherman slam)

I don’t care what their explanation might be, they really fucked up with his stance and walking animation. Someone clearly had Blanka on the brain.
Man… That walk… Damnit man… I don’t think I’ll be able to play him with that ridiculous walking motion… wtf… badasses do not walk like gorillas…
Capcom, I’ll be less angry about these characters already being on the disk if you only make his walking not look incredibly stupid by the time they actually release… goood lord it’s awful! I can’t get over it!
I also main Bryan in every tekken game i’ve played and he is the only character I use. I may not be a Bryan main from Tekken or anything, but I actually do like his standing and walking animations. They remind me of Necro’s walking animation which was “i’m going to walk you into the corner, stun you, then embarrass you with the sickest stun juggle ever.” That + Urien Alt, and what little I can gather from those leaked videos, I’m looking forward to trying him out whenever he gets released.
Yeah, i like his animations and looks. Makes him stand out a bit. But i understand that this major change to a character design wont go over well with every fan, so yeah …
I’m a Bryan fan and I like the stance and walk. They do look a bit silly, but most things look a bit silly in the SF4 graphics, so you have to look at it with that in mind.
Bryan looks retarded in this game, whats with the Necro hands and the hunched back? Reminds of Omega Red, but not in a good way…
and what move is that flying knee thing? unless thats his Orbit Heel to the extreme I’m pretty sure thats not one of Bryan’s moves.

Yep, I like the walk myself. Otherwise he would just seem like some random kickboxer. This way, he really looks like something that isn’t human, which is great because he isn’t human. If I were an indestructible cyborg zombie, I wouldn’t practice perfect form either.
His arms are a tad long though.
