the dark gray one isn’t really similar to any of those canine warriors. It’s just… dark gray.
It looked like Gi (Okami in-game Gi) at NYCC. That’s the only color I wanted to play.

It might be a nod to one of the karmic transformers that changes her color to dark gray. I haven’t seen how it looks in MvC3, though.
I was expecting a color like Chi’s as well. Looks like they chose Jin instead.

I was hoping for a Shiranui alternate, complete with the tendrils of light and changed voice / deeper howl.
But that was probably a bit much to hope for in the first place.

Well in MvC2 the two assist buttons gave extra colors. Maybe you can unlock that option somehow in MvC3? Seems like a step backwards to have less color options than the previous game.
And I agree, a color based on Oki would’ve been sweet. Ammy with her radiant appearance at full power as well, but the developers would probably claim there’s not enough RAM. Well in this case maybe it’d be true, Ammy at that level is gdlk. :bgrin:

more likely they’re saving shiranui for a pay costume, since all the alts are skin changes not model changes as of now 
well, america has a small model change on his punisher alt, removing the head wings, but that’s something easy, unlike shiranui’s animated tendrils
