I always thought that guy who plays Mohinder would be a great PoP. Yeah, I know he’s not Persian either, but he obviously pulls it off better.

But as far as the look, the game takes place in ANCIENT Persia.
Maybe I’m not wise as far as what the racial mixup of current Iranians are(Some are darker than others. Some have the “white” features obviously). Wars waged over thousands of years with Arabians, Turkish, Greeks, Romans, Mongolians; some race mixing is going to go on. You see many Bollywood actors exemplify more uncommon traits among their people.
I guess the point I’m trying to make is that Ancient Persians looked different from the Persians of today. They had, and some still have “White” features.
Its like saying, an Egyptian from today, could play Ramses of Egypt in a movie ,when we know that Egyptians from back then look different from Egyptians of today. Or an African American from today, could play an African American child that was a generation removed from being fresh off the boat(Horrible example, I know.). African Americans of today have many varying colors. You wouldn’t star Cuba Gooding Jr or even Denzel Washington in the role of being a slave that was a generation removed.
They were the “O.G.” of White. Many white supremacists get off on preaching that the old Persia was of “Arya”. Which is where that Aryan nation nonsense comes from.

I meant supporting roles, like when The Last Samurai surrounded a white guy with TV/movie stars who were unknown outside Japan.

Persians are indeed the true “Aryans”, but from my knowledge, most white supremacists don’t know that and compare them nordic whites, like the nazis did.
Even before Western infiltrations, Persians still had lighter-colored people in their population- unlike India, whose caste system arose from being invaded by lighter colored assailants- incidentally, the Persians. The mixed offspring thought of themselves as higher class by shade association.

Uh Persians were originally Indian + Middle Eastern. Elamite was related to Dravidian (Souther Indian) languages and they had a lot of contact with ancient middle eastern peoples such as the Assyrians and Sumerians. Then the Indo Europeans came from southern Russia/Central Asia and did a lot more fucking than they did in India (or India was already too populous for a few thousand people to change the genetic mixup). Basically imagine an army of 10,000 Kurgan from Highlander types fucking your shit up.

The trailer looks good so far. The dagger can change time. The guy is climbing walls and jumping off of buildings. Looks good. I havnt the time to beat POP so I dont care much about the plot, as long as its interesting.
I saw the trailer earlier and I’ll probably be catching the movie when it first comes out. It looks like they actually somewhat paid attention to the game and used it as a guideline which is way and far better than most video game adaptations. I think this movie has a pretty good chance of moving Mortal Kombat off it’s pedastal.
