Brooks pcb ps3/ps4 how to use on pc?xinput?

I’m curious how the pre-installed ist brooks pcb board ps3/ps4 would work on PC? I read that xinput allows it to work?

I know there’s programs that allow ps3 pads/sticks to recognize as xbox controller, but i don’t know if there’s any input lag.

I’m curious how the pcb and xinput work to allow the stick to be used on PC.

Well if it’s a Brook UFB can be put in to 360 mode by holding down 3P when connecting it to the PC which will allow it to function through xinput. PS3/PS4 sticks function on PC as well but use directinput which isn’t as widely supported (though much better than it used to be) so even the boards that are dedicated to the PS platforms can function that way on games that support it. Otherwise you’re probably going to have to use one of the programs that converts it to xinput, not sure what sort of lag that adds though.

Edit- Misread what you were asking. With that specific board I believe it has a mode it switches in to that makes it look like a 360 controller to a PC (and only a PC) and can hold 3P when plugging in to PC to manually select it. Shouldn’t have any lag from that.

thanks, do you own a that pcb? I would like to know 100% before ordering.

It should show up as “arcade joystick” in hardware and accessories

Brook UFB and PS4 FB both supported X-Input mode on PC.
