Brook Universal USB: future gen and audio?

I’m buying a brook Universal USB buy next Monday.

2 questions:

  1. Is it safe to assume that if Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo don’t “boobytrap” the Brook, that future generations will eventually work with enough time to update the firmware for the PS5 and Xbox X?

  2. I heard chat audio was an extra feature on PS4 fight board and is not standard. What are the chat capabilities of the BUUFB? Do I have to plug in 360 Kinect and One Kinect to chat? What’s the sitch with Wii U and Switch chat? Does the Brook have a 3.5 mm port ( and a 2 5 mm adapter for the 360)?
