Brook Universal PCB + MC Cthulhu PCB in one Joystick Case?

Then you are using the ps360+ for multiconsole support I assume.

You would put the d- and d+ on the DPDT with the ps360+ and UFB then the output lines to your RJ45.

The boards will only support the controllers listed: both those consoles use versions of the Wii Classic Controller, which isn’t supported by the MC Cthulhu. To use the Wii, Wii U or Classic consoles, you’ll need to find a Classic Controller Pro PCB (eBay is sick with Chinese clones), padhack it and either fit it in the stick for a messy triple mod or put it in a project box and use a DB25 connector to connect it to your fightstick (which requires wiring your sticks through a DB25 header too).

You could either use project boxes for all your PCBs (which means you don’t need to worry about dual modding, you can just use a different project box for the MCC and UBF but would make your lighting a no-go) or you can use a Retropie to run NES and SNES software. I’d use a retropie honestly.

I don’t quite follow? Do you mean you want to keep your USB cable on the stick and have a separate ethernet socket for the PS360+?

Does the SOCD Cleaning from the brook board apply when playing a dreamcast or any other legacy system that the cthulu supports? I wanted to dual mod my Stickless Layout and was wondering if i needed a seperate SOCD cleaner for the cthulu part of it.

nah no triple mod. SNES classic isn’t important. I will buy the 8bitdo wireless adapters for SNES CLASSIC and use my 8bitdo N30 arcade stick for those games. Or just use the controllers.

I have been told that features like SOCD will carry over between dual-mods.

It’s definately easier to emulate for that part. More games, more systems, and the Pi will work with the Brook nicely. If you don’t wanna download ROMs I believe you can legally extract the classic console ROMs using hakchi.

Thats how I have it currently. I was wanting to have two options for the UFB’S usb connection, one directly through the usb jack and also have the rj45 neutrik. The only reason I want to do this is because putting cables up in their compartment in the case can be a nuisance.

Yeah, provided it’s not connected at the same time I don’t see any reason why that wouldn’t work

Do I really need to buy the part in step 7? Or is this just to make the wires more convenient to connect?

You don’t HAVE to, but it’s gonna make wiring so much easier, I think.

Were the instructions helpful?

Man I’ve been picking Smang’s mind all damn day on IG about this set up. I finally think it makes sense. I just have two questions:

Can I use this on-off-on toggle switch?

2nd question

what harness will fit this 4 pin socket?

thanks!

That switch will work, yeah. I’m gonna use a key and lock switch on my build since it will mount relatively flush with the back of the stick.

Do a search for “Brook UFB JST connectors” on Shoryuken. You can make these yourself with the right parts and a JST crimp. I think someone posted the sizes of the connectors you’ll need on here before but I don’t have them to hand.

I made a whole explanation with diagrams. SRK said I cant post it because im a new member. How long is “new”

It’s a thing with the new forum software. Basically, it flags any new user who spams too many image links to one or two site and prevents them from linking to said site (in your case, tinypic and photobucket). Probably should put them all into one imgur album or similar and just use 1 link to said album, while we look into this.

Okay I have a few more questions. I understand that I have to wire screw terminal to screw terminal between the 2 boards. However Will every terminal on the Mc Cthulhu be wired to every terminal to the UFB OR will some terminals on the ufb be empty?

Also are the terminals on the Mc labeled like they are on the UFB?

Lastly, is it correct that the screw terminals on the UFB will be double wired? One wire goin terminal to terminal with the MC, and the other wire to the Corresponding button and joystick input?

Thanks. Just trying to wrap my mind around the entire mod before all my parts arrive.
