Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

How can I get the controller to register as itself instead of emulating a different controller on PC? If I don’t push any buttons when plugging it in it default to using Xbox One drivers.

I’m on Windows 7, does it only work natively on 10? It would be nice to forgo having to use x360ce and get the controller working on it’s own.

I use it on Windows 10 all day as an XBOX one Xinput controller… just by plugging it in.

Xbox 360 mode is recommended to be used on PC, as Xbox One drivers have not been known to be the most bug free in the world. There was some issue (with real xbox one Microsoft pads) where the Trigger buttons didn’t do anything on windows 10, and I have no idea if that’s been addressed or not by now.

Anyway, it’s recommended you use Xbox 360 mode on PC, by holding down punch 3 (hard punch or RB) when inserting the USB. Zippy recommended X360 mode in general for PC.
You should only use PS3 or PS4 mode on PC for games which refuse to recognize the analog trigger axis (Z Axis + and Z axis -). Only very old games would have that issue, as then the trigger buttons are all standard buttons instead.

When the UFB is inserted into a USB without any buttons pressed, it goes through auto detection so it can detect the console in use. That’s why you hear the connect then disconnect sound. It tries to initialize PS4, disconnects then goes to Xbox One mode.

There are xbox one drivers for windows 7 if you really want them. keep in mind that if you have both Xbox 360 accessories driver installed and Xbox one installed at the same time, putting in an Xbox One controller will crash XBOXSTAT with a C++ error. Blame Microsoft for that.

If you really want the windows 7 xbox one driver, you can get it here.

Note that with the driver, the UFB acts identical in both Xbox one and xbox 360 mode. Windows 7 comes with a ‘stock’ xbox 360 driver that works, where the device is simply called a “Controller.”

What are the UFB’s dimensions? Is it similar to the PS360+?

same

Pretty identical to the PS360+, IIRC. Put it this way: The Brook UFB fits right into the screw mounting holes for the Qanba Q4raf PCB! Only two of the four holes fit, but that’s good enough to secure it firmly and avoid any hot glue or anything shorting.

Doing my research, I haven’t seen anything for microphone support. Does this board allow you to use the standard microphone jack? Please and thank you.

Honestly there isn’t a stick or stick board that has Microphone support.
The only thing that supports Mics are the Sony Dual Shock 4 and the Microsoft Xbox One game pad.

An alternative is to use a USB audio adapter or USB Headset.

It does not, nor can it really be updated to allow it. You’ll need either a wireless headset or a wired USB headset.

Uh. I am playing the pc version on a UFB right now. Position reset = rs witch is marked r3 on the ufb.

Weird. On my SF5, position reset is LS.
Maybe because you bound something else that I skipped? If you bound rs, then something else must be bound to ls before that.

You cant rebind position reset on pc afaik. Maybe you wired it wrong? It actually sais rs when you highlight “try again” in the menu

Nope it’s not wired wrong. This is my SF5.

WTF!
i just checked. it is LS in training mode,
but its RS in trials, witch is the only place ive been using it alot. check it out.

Hah, I’ve never done trials or story yet. I’m still a scrublord trying to learn Chun Li :frowning:

Oh man, better results with the lag on the UFB? this true??? I should update it asap! Now to find a pc, I remember while back mac users weren’t able to update

@LLLLLFiVEL5L
Brook released patch file on Mac …

LS/RS =/= L3/R3
LS/RS are the left/right analog sticks
L3/R3 are the left/right analog BUTTONS

Vicko, we know this already.
The game says “Press the LS button”. That’s L3. I don’t think those buttons are called L3 and R3 on the xbox 360 itself.
That’s PS4 terminology. I don’t think any of the TE Xbox 360 sticks have access to those buttons; only the original pads and custom pcbs would.

The Xbox 360 sticks lack a L3 and R3 but the standard Xbox 360 game pads do have access to L3 and R3.
