Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

Read any dual mod guide for whatever stick you have and do the same thing for this board.

Thanks Jansen. Youā€™ve been awesome help.

Was actually just doing this. I think I pretty much have a solid idea of what I want to do now.

Much appreciated guys.

I have the same mad catz xbox one TE2 and I was wondering if you are able to wire the LED selection button to the stick selector (dp, ls, rs) on the PCB or not. Also, this is kind of a weird question Iā€™m not sure if anyone can answer, but, is it possible to make use of the small red LEDs above that area as player indicator LEDs or is the voltage not correct for those?

TE Player lights should be D3, D4, D5 and D6 on the TEā€™s control panel if I recall correctly.

I was remarking about the LED locations on the TE stick.

I just ordered one of these boards to upgrade my TE-S to prep for SFV. Are there any concerns I should have? It looks like touchpad support might be a big deal with this game, and using my old stick body might be a problem? Can anyone offer feedback on how this board would work with an older stick on SFV? Thanks!

If itā€™s a 360 TE and you donā€™t plan on using Turbo, you can wire the Turbo button to act as a Touchpad button.

Itā€™s a PS3 TE-S.

Both have a Turbo button.

Great! I never use the Turbo function. Is the touchpad button necessary enough to do the re wiring? Could I just have a PS4 controller to the side for these purposes, or would that not work?

In SFV I think the TouchPad Click is used to access a menu.

And in GGXrd the Touchpad is reset in training on PS4, on PS3 thatā€™s the Select button. So it acts as the Select/back button.

due to these concerns I believe I will use the PS3/PS4 toggle switch on my TE2 to switch the select button to trigger select/share or touchpad.

i will get this wired up and maybe make a video in the future.

I gutted my TE last night and was wondering how I could go about wiring up the Touchpad button and I was thinking about doing this very thing. Thanks!

This probably goes without saying but make sure the turbo panel board has power and ground in addition to the signal going from turbo button to touchpad key on the UFB. Stick a wire from the ground on the turbo board to any of the multitudes of grounds on the UFB, then just connect USBVCC on the turbo pcb to any VCC point on the UFB. After that just connect the Turbo signal on the turbo panel to touchpad key on the UFB and youā€™ll be good to go. The nice thing about TE turbo boards is that everything is nicely labeled; youā€™ll have a hard time getting the wrong points.

If you donā€™t plan to use any lights on the turbo board you still need to connect the USBVCC? Or just ground and turbo is enough?

I tried putting a HRAP V3 Kai PCB into an originally 360 Round 2 TE with the Turbo board left in the panel (I was bored). Tried connecting just ground and the signals for Home and Turbo and couldnā€™t get either button to work. Wired up VCC and presto.

Oh alright thanks

Yep, was going to do just that. Iā€™m going to desolder and remove the header connectors on the panel board so itā€™s a little easier to put in a wire for those connections.
