Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

@Darksakul @Falkentyne Thanks for responding guys. Jasen Hicks is getting me sorted out.

hi everybody (sorry for my english)
i got Brook UFB (firmware updated 1.5) on my TE2 xbox one , and i got problem , on my computer (fightcade) & PS4
R1 , R2 , L1 , L2, dont work all the time, when I plug my usb on PC or PS4
they button work like 5 min, and after is random work or not lol
any idea of this problem?

thanks in advance

What exactly is “R1, R2, L1 and L2”? Is that the playstation only layout?

Usually we just say “P1, P2, P3, P4” for punches and “K1, K2, K3, K4” for kicks (8 button street fighter layout with P4 and K4 being PPP/KKK usually), or the standard ABXY, RB, LB, RT and LT. L3 and R3 are the “analog press button” switches beneath the LS and RS sticks (at least on Xbox 360).

edit nvm I got it.
R1 and R2 are “LB” and "RB"
and L1 and L2 are LT and RT.

Can you double check your wiring?
Are you using the 20 pin paradise arcade shop wiring harness or are you using screw terminals?
Does this problem happen in PS3 mode? Xbox 360 mode? Xbox One? PS4 only?

first thanks for answer , yes layout playstation , R1 is P3 , R2 K3 , L1 P4 , L2 K4 (no problem with stick & rest of buttons)

i dont used 20 pin , i used screw terminals ,tested on Xbox 360,PC & PS4 is same problem
is work like 5min, and after is work sometime like 1 / 10 push button

i checked cable & button, i didnt see something wrong, too weird , this drive me crazy lol

Send a PM to @“Jasen Hicks” and see if he can help you.
You might need to RMA, since this isn’t a windows problem.
Might be an issue with the PCB that needs replacing.

Your Square, Triangle, Circle and X buttons are all working every time?

What’s the verdict on this pcb lag performance? I have seen the regular brook pcb lag numbers from Teyah, what about this UFB?

yes Square, Triangle, Circle and X buttons work all the time

There are many people don’t take stock of Teyah’s results.
I take the whole of Teyah’s findings with a grain of salt.

Also according to Brook they are improving on the boards latency with each firmware updates.
So any Numbers you are quoted may not reflect the actual performance of the board.

UFB is going to be one of the fastest PCB’s out there after the 1.5.1 update.
Xbox 360/XBOne latency is already as low as possible and can not be changed. PS3/PS4 will be improved.

A bit off topic, but does anyone know where to get those male quick-disconnect terminal blocks? I think they use them in the madcatz sticks.

Digikey has them. Paradise arcade shop has QD crimps of various sizes also.

Hi,

Has anyone recently encountered a bug where just the stick itself stops working randomly, but the buttons continue to function as normal? This started happening after I updated the firmware to V1.5

This error occurs on both X360 mode and X1 mode. I play on PC so I’m running Windows 8.1. The stick’s PCB is the Rollie Flash Optical PCB, and has worked fine up until the latest Brook firmware update. I’ve double checked the connections of the wires of the PCBs and they are secure in the screw terminals.

Unplugging the stick and replugging the stick immediately makes everything function as normal again.

Youre probably accidentaly switching to rs/ls. Brook is preparing an update.

Great news! I’m going to consider it.

Check PMs sir

Thanks, that was it, I was able to replicate the issue.

I’ve been having the same issue with the latest firmware. The issue is increased ten fold if you play charge characters; because you’re pretty much always holding down back, without even thinking about it, then as soon as you press Options you’re changing the input. So when i had a match on the 2P side, i was charging ready for the round to start then pressed Options to skip the match intros only for my hitbox to then be registering as RS, so i was unable to move.

Will it cause any issues if i downgrade back to the previous firmware while we wait for the new one with the 3 second fix?

You can downgrade easily back to the april 10th v1.4 firmware, no problems.

Great, thanks.

Heavily considering getting this, now that Xrd Revelator is out.
However this worries me, so I’ll wait and see if it gets better:

I’d love to see more tests from people though…
