Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

so Final word on mad catz logo LED is to connect the red wire to VCC with 100omhs resistor and the black wire to GND?

Swapped out a ps360+ today, it could not have been easier. The new brook board is working perfectly. Thanks Zippy!

@ekorz
Welcome ā€¦

Please do!

I have one issue with PS3 if PS3 connected with stick and other usb appear message about reach max power then stick stop working.I donā€™t have issue with ps4 just ps3.

anyway is there lag test data for UFB?

Yeah itā€™s the best PCB lagwise for what it does

I was modding the Brooks to work on my original TE yesterday and realized how there were no guides to the original TE pcb. Was wondering if anyone needed a guide or something since I seemed to have figured out most of the original TE pcb.

Do it, I have one of those and Iā€™m getting it someday.

I said I was gonna post up some pictures of what I did this is what I did with an impv2/rj45 jack/mc Cthulhu/piiwee board/Brook UFB.

Unfortunately it seemed that dual modding with the impv2 there was a complication that the Xbox one didnā€™t want to recognize it or maybe voltage difference. So what I ended up doing was drilling a hole on the bottom of the stick for a usb connection to the brook UFB. It kinda defeats the soul purpose of having the impv2 but I have it on because it does work on the xbox 360/PS3/PS4 and all the retro from mc Cthulhu. The only reason I have that jack is the soul purpose of Xbox one. There is a wii connection as well on the bottom of this stick so that it can work on wii and wiiU. So to me this stick completes all system now and works pretty well with out lag.

post of pic of the pcb and ill guide you

Hi Guys,

I am modding my TE STICK round 1 but need to be sure is this correct?

Thnx

Yes they are correct.

Look at your Photo, do you see the printing on the board, behind the connectors?
The board is labeled, and the labeling confirms your assignments.

Of course you might ask ā€œwhat if those labels are wrongā€?
That is a Good Question.
That is why I do recommend all modders to invest in a multimeter, so they can test out pins and board traces for themselves.
Using a multimeter is not hard and its not hard to learn and there many, many instructional videos how on Youtube.

Thank you! @Darksakul for the tips!

The booklet that comes with the UFB tells you which buttons correspond to each system input

Thats what I used

Thank you for your reply sir.

Thereā€™s only a zillion guides on modding a 7 year old stick, just gotta look

Release Date: April 17, 2015 but yeah thanks for all the help and guides.

Was not directing that at you.
Cheers.

I tried looking for a pinout guide for the Round one TEs to no avail. At least not for using it on the Brooks. For example, to get the RS, DP, and LS toggle you have to wire up 4 connections to the Brooks. 1 for the RS, 1 for the LS, and 2 for the DP. On the back of the TE PCB there are 6 contact points for the toggle. 4 are grouped together and 2 are separate. I did not find a guide telling me which ones to use and had to resolder a couple times after testing. I tried googling madcatz TE pcb pinout but couldnā€™t find any info on that specific pcb. Also slagcoin didnā€™t have a guide on it.
