Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

you dun goofed but at least you admitted it…

yup, im man enough to admit when i’m wrong.

on a side note, holy crap there is a lot of lag on the switch

actually, i ended up using the “common” to plug my input wires, and plugged my daisy chain into the normally open

Oh…derp!

My UFB was installed into a 360 razer aatrox and has worked fine on all the consoles exept xbox one. It is detected for a few seconds then just disappears. The Xbox one mode works on pc however. Any ideas on what causes this?

did you update the firmware?

Omg the ending was better than expected

as we say in TI in spanish “capa ocho”

try updating the UFB firmware

ok so I tried to update the firmware but every time i tried to connect the stick the software wouldn’t pick up the stick. turns out the guy i got to do the soldering messed up and now there is a cut off wire where the ps button should be soldered in.If anyone can either tell me another way to get the update to work or which wire in the atrox is the xbox/ps button that would be great. I attached pictures of the guts for y’all as well. Thank you

You can use the screw terminals to wire in the home button directly.

Hey does anyone happen to know if the UFB is compatible with brook’s super converters? I’m interested in getting the PS3/PS4 to PS2 Super Converter and I’d like to know if the two things are even compatible. They should be right? Thanks in advance.

yeah. brook products are compatible with themselves.

i tested ps3/4 to ps2 with my UFB and with a brook xone to ps4 (using a xbox one madcatz TE2) and both worked flawlessly

Awesome! I’m really glad to hear that. Thanks a ton dude.

ok i got the home button working and the update installed yet im still getting the same issue of the controller disconnecting moments after connecting

Does anyone know where I can find the wiring diagram for the Hori RAP 4. Mine is the KOF edition. I want to install a Brook UFB in it and use the buttons on the side. I think there’s just wires that I can cut and put in the brook UFB for it. Or am I mistaken on that? I tried a Google search but got bupkis. Lemme know. Thanks guys.

Is it possible to wire one single LED to the p1 and p2 solder points, so that the the light turns no matter on which side I am?
If yes, how do I have to wire. Connecting p1 with p2 didn’t seem to do the trick.

Thx

Does anybody have the 1.8 firmware? For what ever reason the other day I tried to update my UFB, it said the update worked but now I cannot connect it to any device. If I connect it to windows I get a “The last USB device you connect to theis computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.” I have tried using different consoles, pcs, and usb cables, nothing works. It will only connect to windows in update mode but the latest updater does not fix this issue. I have tried contacting Brooks through their website and facebook about a week ago, so now I am hoping that somebody here can help me out.

Sounds like the firmware update failed mid-update, leaving your UFB in a corrupt state.
@“GOGO.Zippy” or @Brook_Engineer is there a way to force-reflash a board in the reported state?

@“GOGO.Zippy” @Brook_Engineer Hi. I noticed the new PS3/PS4 to Switch converter firmware is officially out, with reduced input lag. Are you working on achieving something similar for the Switch mode on the Universal Fighting Board?

so after fixing my xbox button and updating the firmware i still have the same problem when connecting to xbox one and ps4, any ideas what could cause this?
