How do I update the firmware if I don’t have a select button (you need to hold home+select)? I wasn’t able to figure out how to wire up the Home button so I just connected it to where the Select button is supposed to be.
Easiest solution is to just temporarily move the wire that connects your start button to the pcb over to the select connection. Do your firmware update, then move it back.
@OUT51D3R@Brook_Engineer Alright I just swapped start and select temporarily. I’m a noob at stick modding and I can’t figure out how to wire up the actual home button on my X1 Atrox.
I’m not familiar with the Atrox. Is the home button different from the other buttons on the stick? You will likely get better answers in the Razer Thread
Does the Brook UFB work with the PS3/PS4 to Wii U Brook Super Converter? According to http://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/66392028/ it hasn’t been tested (“For those controllers/sticks/wheels which are not listed indicates that they have not been tested yet.”), which is weird since it’s your own PCB.
Apologies if this has already been asked and answered.
So I have a Madcatz TES+ and I’m planning to install a Brook UFB. I’d like to utilize the control panel as much as possible.
I have worked out how to use the existing wiring harness for P & K buttons and joystick. PS, L3 and R3 easy enough. I also see where I can connect P1,P2,P3 & P4 LEDs.
However, I might have some trouble with the Touch pad and Light bar. With the touch pad its a ribbon and it looks like I might have to solder directly to the control panel PCB.
Not sure if I need the ‘LS|DP|RS’, ‘Lock’ and ‘PS3|PS4’ switches as well.
@Brook_Engineer thanks for the quick reply. I can see the points on the original PCB for the TPKEY, TPINT, TPRST, SCL and SDA. So soldering will need to happen for sure.
I was wondering if anyone had fully utilized the control board on a TES+ before. It would be nice to have the light-bar working and the mentioned switches if possible.
I have a TES+ EZ MOD coming out that allows everything to work including the correct colors for the LEDs on the bar based on the player #. In fact, the only reason its not out right now… I’m deployed.
I don’t share my technical data since its a product I intend to sell via my shop. That being said… a creative modder can use the TE2+ EZ MOD with the TES+. I did it at EVO last year. While it took a hot minute… it was perfectly functional when done.
Got my issue with this board resolved - it was either that something wasn’t seated right in one of the connections (as I reinstalled) or (and embarrassingly) due to some foam that I had previously installed to dampen the sound that was shorting something somehow… I honestly didn’t realise that foam is conductive… >.<
