Whenever I use the board my joystick and buttons don’t respond. There are only to that respond and they move the cursor to the left. I’m using the stick with a burnt copy of the fighting game collection toodles did a while back and I’m using a .187 pin converter to use a IL joystick. Any suggestions of what might have happened?.
Take clear pictures of your wiring and we’ll be able to help more.
Here is how I have it wired. I only hooked up the 3 punches and 3 kicks because that’s all I’m using.
Can these boards go bad from shock? Should I have had a ESD braclet on when wiring this?
No, it’s unlikely you shocked it.
From the pic, it looks like you have your 20-pin connector plugged in reversed.
Pins 1-4 go to the joystick directions.
It also looks like you also have the disconnects plugged into the wrong tabs on your joystick microswitches.
