Every thing works fine with PS4 V4.07!
Enjoy it~
Can somebody please tell me a step-by-step procedure on how can I switch from LS, DP, RS?
Iāve followed the instructions from Brookās site but I donāt see any change. I have the latest firmware and every time I plug it to my computer the joystick reacts as the LS and I need it in DP mode.
EDIT
The fightstick is only recognizing 4 cardinal directions⦠and I canāt do any diagonal input.
I really need that guide to switch from LS to DP. BTW, Iām using a Sanwa JLF that was previously used with a MC Cthulhu with no issues.
Iāve followed the instructions from your site and still canāt get a switch.
Is there any specific time (plugging the cable to the console/pc) when I should hold the button and direction so the switch will occur?
Or can the switch be done even in the middle of a match?
press the OPTIONs/START button first, hold it, and turn 3DVR (L/U/R) for 3 seconds for LS/DP/RS correspondingly
Is there anyway to switch SOCD on the board? Really want to switch between l+r=neutral and direction=last input
what do you mean? you mean L+R=R , R+L=L?
Zippy asked in a PM too, so sent this:
I was wondering if itās possible to change the fact that pressing left and right together give neutral input? Whilst left + right = neutral is great for motion characters, for charge characters itās great if the last input button is registered. Eg if I hold back, then tap forward (whilst still holding back) and press a button, my move comes out and goes straight back to back at the earliest opportunity. Iāve linked a tweet and a YouTube video of someone that got round it with an old circuit board and an arduino board, if itās not possible currently it would be amazing if the feature was added as a button combo in the firmware

From pics it looks like this board is in the hitbox, so changing the firmware could be a big help for people thag have one too.
After reading through the thread, it looks like a few people have asked for it but canāt see anywhere if it was added (Iām guessing not )
About to order this soon. But I was curious. I am going to put this in a SF4 TE. And I was wondering if I can wire the turbo/home button to this? Any guides for it?
The short answer to your question is āYESā but the ease of your mod will depend on which TE you haveā¦PS3 or Xbox 360 The front/top (turbo) panel pcbs are different.
The Xbox 360 TE has a top panel with all of the connections on the pcb that will allow for easy routing to your Brook board.
Just note that (unlike the UFB) the Brook PS3/4 fight board lacks DP/LS/RS connections and 4 Player LED connections, so the related top panel switch and LEDs will do nothing once you install the new PCB. DP/LS/RS can be emulated with the fight board though, check it.
Home and Turbo should connect without issue from the top panel pcb. Youāre going to have to choose one of the 8 existing turbo LEDs you will designate for the fight board.
I havenāt found a PS3/4 fight board-specific guide, but this video might help with making heads/tails of the Xbox 360 TE top panel and button terminal block leads:
Xbox 360 TE (Start At 2:19)
PS3 TE
For the PS3 TE, the mod might be more work due to the connections on the top panel. HEREās a video that might shed some light. Contact @The_Real_Phoenix for info on that replacement top panel PCB
Thanks. Itās the SF4 TE round 1 for PS3. I already ordered a plex with the turbo/home cut out. So itās rather keep that than having to find another way to get a home button installed.
Any one else got the same opinion?
āL+R(simultaneously)=neutral
āL+R=R(left and then right is right)
āR+L=L(right and then left is left)
Or, according to your experience, does it make any difference to other games or characters you are playing?
what about U+D ???
U+D = U, itās so that charge characters can do their motions easier. Eg guile, hold L, tap R and punch = sonic boom (when facing right) and back to charge, hold D, tap U and kick = flash kick. Same with chun li, fireball and spinning bird kick. Alternatively allow SOCD to be switched off, SF5 does this by default (but does forward as priority which obviously canāt be done at hardware level). Would be great to do it at H/W level though so it could be done in games that donāt do it by default.
Yes, please add this ability to toggle between L+R = neutral(shoto mode), and L+R = last input(charge mode). If you play SF5 on PC with a keyboard, you will be able to see what we mean. Iāve used this mod with other Capcom games and it works the same way as it does in SF5. I havenāt tried any non-Capcom games yet though.
U+D should work the same as Hitbox currently does, it should give you U.
I did this Arduino mod to my Hitbox to get this functionality and it works great on PC, but now SF5 doesnāt recognize my Hitbox on PS4. My PS3 recognizes it though with SF4, etc, so I think itās Capcomās bad programming.
so it will be easier for playing SF5?
what about other games?
the point we concern is, if this function is added, will it make a difference to the performance of other games or other characters?
Just any game that has charge characters, not just SF5. All of the street fighter games, skull girls, king of the fighters, guilty gear, blaze blue, anything really!
It really is an Sf5 issue. Window to press buttons free charge is smaller.
