Thats only for a hot air reflow station, were you can do reballing of Ball solder and solder flow entire logic boards.
And people have sidestep that with a modified toaster oven.
For every day though hole component soldering you can get away with a $15 POS soldering iron from Radio Snack.
I even picked up a chines knock off of a Hakko soldering station for less than 20.
Can i get some help with Home button on the turbo panel of madcatz TE? I have XGUILD(on turbo panel) wired to PS_KEY(on brook) but not quiet sure where to wire KGND. Ive tried wiring KGND to the 8-button ground and also tried the GND shown in the diagram.i.imgur.com/eHQ6IEp.png
I also tried wiring KGND and GND directly underneath the pcb in the bottom right. No luck so far.
Argh my stick disconnected mid-match and it wasn’t even 8 minutes in. I got through my second match without a disconnect but I’m wondering if anyone had the same issue? I definitely
Something I should add is that I play on PC at home and of course the tournament was on PS4. I came home and I’ve been playing on PC without changing anything for the past 20 minutes. Does Windows 10 have some sort of USB signal fix that the PS4 does not?
more like a damaged spot on your USB cord where you kink it or move right and you lose or gain connection
If you notice a malformed or distorted section of cord, and you lose and or gain connection, there is a break in one of the wiring of the USB cable
Some PS4 models do not operate under full USB spec and will not power some devices completely. I can’t for the life of me find any documentation on it, but if you google it, you can see that some people can’t charge a pad and use a headset at the same time. I have seen people with 2 stock sticks, or 1 modded and one not, doesn’t matter the combination really, with the same issue as recent as WCW4.
Anyone know if it’s possible to make a hitbox from the brook premade ist kit from Focus Attack out of the box? I made a fatal mistake of getting a pcb that gave weird results if you hit 3 directions simultaneously on accident. Like while doing a half circle for example. Don’t want to make that mistake again haha
I don’t see why not. Electrically nothing has changed between a hitbox layout and a normal stick layout.
The only issue is the premade kit from Focus attack will have to have the joystick wire harness modified for use with buttons.
Which would be clipping off the connector and adding the connectors you need, maybe splicing in more wire to reach all of your buttons signals and ground.
The other thing is I don’t remember if The Brook PCB has SOCD filtering or not, I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread.
