Brook PS3/PS4 "Fightboard" PCB Thread

 use a multimeter to see if it’s share or tpkey, and try to see if little copper wires are hanging around.

I don’t even have to - I didn’t notice earlier that my poor soldering skills left a connection between Tpkey and nearby gnd. Thanks for the help!

Brook just released the updated firmware to PS4 3.50 update! So sweet! I just got my fightstick back yesterday after a week or 2 without it(waiting to get modded with Brook ps3/ps4 fightboard) and sony just decided to release an update 2 days later! So happy to know Brook is on top of their shit!

Thank you Brook @GOGO.Zippy for getting this firmware out so quick!

I will update when I get home tonight and test

Weird how the laptop that I always update Brook converters and PCBs with just could not start up the firmware update program (re-downloaded too). I ran it on my desktop and it worked. Both are Windows 10. Odd.
Anyway, thanks for the quick update!

EDIT: I think Avast held it back. Hope this can help anyone who may have the same issue.

Hi All Guys.
Thank you to waiting.
Brook released patch file to fix timeout issue on 3.50 system.
Please go to Brook website and select correct file to update.

Just updated my Brook Fight board and I can confirm all the issues I experienced are now gone.

I’ve also noticed that all the other devices also now have a new firmware not just the UFB and Fight board.

Great work Brook and @GOGO.Zippy to get the new firmware out immediately!

how I install the new firmware on my Brook White PS3 to PS4?

There’s a PDF as the older firmware updates?

The firmware update was pulled for the adapters because some devices were still getting 8 minute timeouts, so they’re going to release a updated version later.

[s]There is a pdf in the zip file.

However, you just need to launch the program ZPMN00R_V14_20160406.exe, the instructions are in the program - it asks you to press home and share (select) when plugging it in. Once recognised, you’ll see the update button. Click on that and you’ll get a message saying “update successful”

Edit: lol, didn’t read properly

There’s a different thread for this

Thanks guys, so, there´s a date when the update will be release?

Just keep checking the site:

there’s manual to download in download page, red icon

To all Brook players,

Sorry for not providing the latest firmware by original schedule.
For some technical problems, we still need to check to make sure everything works perfect, and we will make it as soon as possible.
Thanks for your understanding.

Just got the board with the IST breakout in the mail today from FA. Wired it up, plugged it in, and… nothing. Can’t even get my computer to recognize it in order to do the firmware update. Holding down share and PS buttons while plugging in. Just get a “USB device not recognized” error. Anybody else have any trouble with these?

Use a different/shorter cable if you have one or different ports or a different PC

Should work on your console for at least 8 mins if the board is ok

Thanks for the reply. Tried with a shorter cable in every USB port, and my PS4. No luck. Something’s bad somewhere. I put a cthulu and a ps360+ in my other sticks with no troubles. This was supposed to be super simple, just wire up the stick and the buttons.

Maybe it’s a bad board, or something’s screwy with the breakout. Frustrating for sure!

Pics of the soldering on the USB going to the Brook from the breakout?

Something to add that I ran into last night.
Two sticks-One has a padhacked FC4 the other a Brook PS3/PS4 board.

With both plugged in and pressing the Home button one stick would activate as the primary controller. Pressing the Home button on the other stick would essentially turn off the first stick making the second stick the same user as the first stick.

I had to repeat this process to make the second stick primary user then have the second stick hold the home button to enter the switch user and switch user. Only then was I able to press the home button on the first stick to log it in as a separate user to use both sticks at the same time such as in a versus situation.

I’m unsure if this is something introduced with the Playstation update or if it is something with the Brook or FC4 boards.

Before the Playstation update I was able to hit the Home button on first stick to log in as the current user with that stick, then hitting the Home button on the second stick and a screen would pop up to select user for the second stick.

Just a heads up for anyone that runs into the same problem.
