Brook Converters Thread

It allows you to use your Joy-Con, Wii-mote and Pro controllers on the PS4. Being able to use the Wii U Pro controller on the PS4 could be nice.

Are there any products to use other controllers on an Xbox 360 console? So basically the reverse.

Not from Brook

Sorry I think the way I worded it was confusing. With the PS3 and PS4 to PS2 adapter is there a way to make it so that both dpad and analog stick from the ps4/3 controller are treated as Dpad on the PS2 and with SOCDs cleaned?

Just got a 360 to ps4 converter to use with my madcatz TE. It doesnā€™t work though. The converter lights up, and the green circle on the stick lights up in the corner as it should, but the inputs donā€™t do anything. I updated the firmware but still nothing. Any known problems that could cause this?

Edit: I got this resolved through tech support at Brooks. The switch on the stick for locking turbo needed to be set to ā€œunlockedā€ for some reason.

Currently trying to update a 360 to PS4 converter. Downloaded most recent update file from brooks, tried multiple USB ports, ran as adminstrator, reset computer numerous times, but EVERY time the updater freezes and gives me a (not responding)

Please help! Google has been fruitless thus far

8bitdo controllers are now working wirelessly on the PS4 with this adapter

Ok, so I got 2 of the PS4/3 to switch converters in on Saturday. One of them isnā€™t being detected by my PC at all so itā€™s impossible to update it. It shows on the switch that the second converter is being detected by the system, but I canā€™t seem to get it to use my arcade sticks with the system. The first one I got was made this year, while the other one looks like it was made back in 2017. That one is the converter that is giving me problems. I have tried it on multiple PCs to no avail.

I imagine not a ton of people have them, but is there any planned firmware update for support for the new PS4 Astro C40s? It seems like it uses a different protocol than other PS4 controllers, so itā€™s currently not working on my converters.

I have the brook x one adapter not extra. I am trying to get it to work on my ps4 with my xbox elite controller. All it does is blink blue. I cannot manually shut it off it just keeps blinking till it auto shut downs. I cannot update. It will not recognize my controller and says VIDPID uknow. I have changed cords. There is not other firmware to update so I know I dont have the wrong program. This is my second one. The first did the same thing so I returned it for a new one.

For those that play FPS, this adapter adds 4 paddles and longer battery. They should`ve released this years ago, it seems a little too late with the PS5 coming.

hi

i have 2 x DS4 v2ā€™s, 2 x yellow brook super converters ps3/4 to ps3/4

when i play 2 player tetris on ps3, the second ds4 starts to lag behind on inputs by about 2 seconds, sometimes not responding for 3 or 4 seconds like typing lag on keyboard with slow pc

any ideas?

Hello.
Iā€™m having compatability issues with a Brook Super Converter PS3/PS4 to PS3/PS4 (the yellow one) and a Qanba Q4RAF.
After updating the firmware to V2.3 (2019/11) on PC (Win 7) there is no response from the stick when plugging it into the converter. Using the tournament version of V2.3 firmware also has no response.
I did test the converter with a standard PS3 controller and everything worked as normal.
Iā€™d really appreciate any help or advice anyone may have.
Thanks.

Can you confirm that your Qanba Q4RAF USB cable is working properly without the converter? If thatā€™s the case you might contact brook support so your controller can be added to the latest firmware.

Tested out the Qanba Q4 on 360, PS3, PC and PS4 (via legacy control support with Tekken 7) with no problems at all.
Iā€™ve filled out their contact form with the issue.
Iā€™ll post again with any updates once they get in touch.

Thank you at based @Brook_Engineer god!

The 12/19 PS4 update Reppukens my X One adapter over Christmas break, but the Brook 1/02 update counters with a Double Reppuken!

1/14/2020 edit:
And also thank you at based @GOGO.Zippy god. Sorry, havenā€™t been on the SRK forum for awhile, I remembered that there were actual Brook folks who were in this thread before, just not all of your names Orz

A huge thank you to the staff at Brook for their help.
Their support team sent me a beta version of their firmware which fixed the problem I was having.

Iā€™m hoping someone can help me out.

Please bare with me as this problem is difficult to explain:

Iā€™ve owned two PS3/PS4 to PS2 converters for a very long time now. I mainly use them with Dualshock 3 since most PS2 games I like to play use the pressure sensitivity feature (Socom series). I never had a problem with the converters and thus never had the need to update the firmware. Recently, like an idiot, I decided to update the firmware on both converters.

The problem now is with the directional pad on the Dualshock 3. The directional pad does not work at all but ONLY on the Socom game series. Before doing firmware update, it was a simple matter of pressing the PS button on the Dualshock 3 to activate Analog mode and boom, no problem - however thatā€™s no longer the case. Pressing the PS button prompts the gameā€™s warning that no Dualshock 2(3) Analog is detected. After a split second, the red light on the converter lights up again indicating you can use the controller but the directional pads donā€™t work, only the sticks and every other button.

I should add that I tested the Dualshock 3 in other PS2 games including, shooters, fighting games and sports games - zero problems there. I also tested the Dualshock 4 in all aforementioned types of games including the Socom Series and the directional pad works fine, but I need the pressure sensitivity feature of the Dualshock 3 to play the Socom games. Different cables and different controllers were tried of course.

After spending hours (and frustration) researching online, this forum is the closest thing to potential help I could find.

I reached out to Brook but havenā€™t gotten a reply. Therefore, I ended up purchasing a third converter today under the theory and hope that it wonā€™t have the latest firmware to see if updating the other two was indeed a mistake for me.

In the meantimeā€¦any help? Suggestions?
