I’ll make him work. He’s going to be different to use than the standard rush down archetype. The guy is a tank with long ranged normals, and command grabs and armor for mixups. I kind of like it, cuz I like chars with reach like Skrull. So he’s going to be fun to me.
I feel the same way. Sure he’s not the new Wolverine or Wesker or Mags. But hell learning to make him work is going to be well worth it. Just getting in once should be enough for the big zombie anyways with his damage. He’s got huge reach though any character with a teleport, good keepaway or overheads is going to have an easy time getting on him. However coulpled with a good assist he could be quite scary.
Worst come to worst, Spam Wall Destroyer on all enemy rushdown attacks lol.
His tallness is a problem though, whats the point of him being so tall if more than half the roster just stands under it. Hell Ghost rider STOOD underneath his rocket if I remember seeing from Maxmil’s video.
Despite how “simple” he is as a big tough tank. Getting that first hit is the real challenge.
I have a feeling I’ll be jumping around spamming j.:h: a lot because of this.
indeed, as Wesker I hated moves that hit both sides at the same time. Looks like i’m going to be using it now, The thing has a massive hit box it’ll force the opponent to block allot and if they don’t they may unexpectingly get hit.
3:04 Dat hitbox
once again though if they guy has the most health in the game why does it seem like Sentinel’s health at the moment? If they say Arthur has 1 mil then this guy has at least got to have 1.1-1.2mil.
^^^^^ Honestly Im crossing my fingers that they haven’t implemented a lot of the health values yet cause everyone dies in two combos in all these vids. Shit is mad unsettling, I mean its one thing for strider to die in two combos, the hell is up with nemesis dying so quickly?
I really do think Capcom is being too cautious with Nemesis. A character this big, this awkward and this limited needs to be able to really lay the hurt down when and if he lands a hit. I’d say improve his damage even more (omg) or improve his hitboxes and such.
its funny because Iron Fist seems to do better damage, and isn’t a giant lummox.
Nemesis looks to be terrible tbh :(.
It’s sort of a paradox. In Vanilla Wesker did great damage and was fast as hell, maybe not as much damage as Hulk, Thor or Haggar but it was damn near efficient and close to their level to matter. This is sort of what’s going on here cept with Iron Fist. I really do think he needs more damage despite how crazy that idea sounds, he needs more bang for his buck or at least better recovery options and or a greater hitbox on the rocket.
NEMESIS SADDD.
I’ll make him work…i’ll make him work.
like Haggar, but you take away his lariat and give him the worst projectile in the game.
Edit: If he could confirm well out of his long-range hits it’d at least be a playstyle.
yeah but Iron Fist is arguably even more limited than Nemesis. He literally has one way to open up opponents and that’s his rekka-mixups. No command grabs, no resets, just dash in, do a rekka, hope the opponent guesses wrong.
Still, Nemesis is a hard character to balance. No matter how BAD he is, if he gets a combo and one command grab reset, the opponent is dead. That’s not really much to think about
Chun li would like to have a word with you!
It’s possible that the reality of a slow but high damage character is hard to face. Despite how rewarding it looks when you start that combo, starting it in a real match is hard and disillusioning towards Nemmy’s appeal.
Chun li can at least use her projectile to crumple.
And yes, the problem with characters like Nemesis is, you’re basically hoping your opponent makes a mistake so you can punish it, and that’s all it comes down to. You want them to somehow end up within command grab range, or commit to a super that you can nail with wall destroyer.
Speaking of Wall destroyer, Nemesis has a lot of hits that he can get from legitimate situations, but no way to turn them into greater damage. You hit an opponent with Wall destroyer…whoopee. You can’t follow up from it because he’s too slow.
I challenge you with the fact that Kikoken doesn’t fly over Ryu’s head when he’s walking towards her.
Edit: If he turns out to be another Goddamn She-Hulk, I’m going back and deleting all these posts.
Can you really expect much from on-point Nemmy? He has one of the few remaining “get off me” assists in UMVC3.
which assist is that? His assists have a bit of armor, sure, but not enough to really classify as a get off me assist. They’re also terribad.
Only one I’d ever consider using is RL slam.
Most likely Clothesline (Wall bounce) -> Rocket. Idk why Capcom thought Rocket was a good choice afterwards considering according to feedback it misses more than half the time.
Rocket assist is out of the question because it whiffs on most of the cast. RL Slam is slow as molassis but it’s like a Hulk s. H causes a ground bounce. Hopefully it has armor.
i’m still gonna use him. i believe in not knocking something until you try it, but i’m not holding my breath. i do have some potential teammates (hsien-ko, wesker, phoenix, chris, strider, some others) that could work and be REALLY scary, even if nemesis is getting thrashed. some ppl want more damage output (o_O), higher health, others want some better moves. i’m not even concerned about keepaway, my main concern is him getting RTFD unless he has the right assists or on a team where that could become a plus. we’ll see.
I thought Seth said all of his assists have Super Armor.
Also, it breaks my heart a little to see Vergil already has 20+ pages, and Nemesis’ stuck on page 11. Poor guy. Yes, I know why. But still, poor guy.
