If I had to guess St. H looks like it is -4 and shoulder tackle is like -6 or -7.
All of his armored launcher moves looked -5/-8 unsafe. Definitely a lot better than Hulk’s armored normals. You should be able at least space some of them properly to avoid punishment.
anyone got any ideas on who could be the third member for this team?(just a thought right now)
Nemesis
Arthur
Nemesis moveset write up from Gamespot:
smdh. man, fuck this shit. i’m vexed. capcom scared of nemesis.
who’s the next reveal? >:(
j/k, still gonna pound ppls lifebars into oblivion.
Just cuz I like compiling movesets (the button smiles are so pretty), Gamespot had some hands on time with Nemesis (http://gamescom.gamespot.com/story/6330178/gamescom-2011-ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3-updated-hands-on-preview?page=1) and I’ll put it here since I’m cool and have no life.
:qcf::atk: Rocket Clothesline
-:l: Clothesline
- Clothesline into forward rocket shot
-:h: Clothesline into upward rocket shot (45 degree)
:qcf::s: Rocket shot (I guess it tracks…? In Air it tracks n OTGs…?)
:dp::atk: Launcher Slam
-:l: Knocks opponent into the air (mini launcher?)
- Ground bounces
-:h: Wall bounces
:hcb::atk: Tenta-grab
-:l: Forward command grab
- Upward command grab
-:h: Straight up grab
:f::h: Tentacle Lash
:d::h: Shoulder Crush
EDIT: I really don’t get some of these moves. In the Seth walkthrough we see Nemesis fire rockets without the clothesline beforehand on the ground in various angles, yet there is no mention of that in the gamespot movelist.
Is it that big of deal? Doesn’t look like the most important move and it could easily be :qcb:+:s: or :dp:+:s:.
Holy shit guys. Did ya’ll see the UMVC3 testing videos on the front page? Nemesis looks really good. Most of his normals are +1 or something on block. Thats a huge plus. And he seems to have good specials, zoning, supers. Nemesis looks like he has no flaws to me, besides the huge hitbox =O
lol he sounds like Sentinel 2.0…now I’m just waiting for the patch:lame:
The only flaw I can see in him is that good zoning characters will give him a hard time, so you’ll be needing assists to cover him up.
Naturally, forcing you to build a team around a good character to make him really effective is hardly a flaw.
I think he’ll do okay, when he gets in range to use his tentacle normals, air and ground, he can tag the projectile char and any assists they call. Still a beam or a durable projectile would help him. But then again they would help everybody.
Agreed.
Yep. I’m definitely looking for a Nemesis patch soon A La Sentinel
How much you want to bet if he gets patched they’re just going to drop his health just like with Sentinel?
It’ll probably be that, looking at Capcom’s penchant for health tweaks. Watch him be okay, people whine about some setup that’s easy to punish or avoid, health nerf, no one plays Nemmy except fo the proud, the few.
I really hope this doesn’t happen.
Community: Nemesis is too tall!
Capcompany: HOW 'BOUT A HEALTH NERF?
think any of his assists will be good for arthur?
The armored clothesline might be good for him since it has to be preformed at a good distance away to combo, and it could help Arthur on his defense.
Rocket Launch assist has a major flaw in that it can be crouched under by quite a lot of people, but that won’t be a problem with Arhuther since his projectiles all sit so low anyway. It could potentially cover his keepaway game nicely.
Ehh I dunno. I just wanna know what does what.
Yeah, I suppose a projectile assist will be necessary to cover Nem as he does his rockets/horizontal tentacle shots. On the flip side, his rocket shot can help cover the area above smaller characters’ heads because he’s so tall (not an AA).
Yeah, it is a zoning tool for sure…just not a conventional one. If it did hard knockdowns on hit, it’d compensate for what it’s lacking right now imo : p
His Rocket Assist could play as extra keepaway when Arthur can’t supply it, His Clothesline into Rocket could be used as a GTFO assist. His Slam is a ground bounce and can interrupt a character that gets close and sets him up for free for Arthur.
To the fans of our Big, Handsome, Tentacle, Rocket Launcher-wiedling, Undead buddy
The Butcher of Raccoon City - Nemesis Arcade Stick
S.T.A.R.S HUNTER - Nemesis Arcade Stick
Made’em myself in about 4 hours or so. the second one was a bit choppy, not enough space and didn’t come out as I thought it would.
Ironically i’m a pad player.
