I’ve been rewatching the show in preparation for season six (just a little over a week!) and been looking back at old posts in this thread as well. Came across this gem from a @White Shadow post two years ago:
Anyway, I’ve rewatched everything else a couple times already, but this is my first rewatch of season 5, so it’s my first time watching it without a week’s gap between episodes. It’s interesting. I think it actually functions better with the episodes back to back.
add the fact he always underestimated Walt, when the reality is the opposite, being Hank the jester of the show
I was actually surprised when he beated the shit out of Jesse,but I doubt Hank will confront Walter.
He’s bound to go silent, because this opens up Pandora’s Box of trouble for him.
How’s he going to prove he wasn’t “in” on Heisenberg from the very beginning (to agents other than the ones he knows personally)?
How’s he going to explain not catching on?
Hank’s former boss (forget his name) was forced out as a scapegoat for not knowing about Gus. Who knows what would happen to Hank?
I’m not expecting an entirely rational reaction from Hank.
I’m pretty sad for Hank, he’s been generally a good guy this whole time

One thing about Hank is that he is an honest guy. Even when he beat Jessie, he wasn’t going to lie to save himself. There’s no way he’s not going to try to take Walt down now, his honor won’t allow it
