no it’s not. Huell isn’t in that one masturbating in the corner.
[details=Spoiler]Fictional character, but still pretty sad.

Thoughts occur:
* Walt never did use that vacuum cleaner business card from the season 4 episode “Crawl Space”. Maybe instead of using it to escape from criminals he’s wronged, he uses it to disappear from Hank, hence the assumed name in the season opener.

For the longest time, the DEA has made trouble for Jesse, but never successfully made it far enough into his involvement in the meth business to connect him to Walt. Ironically, if Walt becomes a prime suspect, that buffer of involvement works in the other direction. It seems that Jesse is protected, unless Walt rolls on him. Or, for some reason, if Jesse decides to inform, which is quite possible, given that there’s a lot of stuff Walt has done that would enrage him if he found out.

So who is that badass machine gun intended for?
Thanks for all of the suggestions on what to watch. Are these suggested shows like hardcore dramas? One of the things I like about BB is that it has it’s share of lighter/funny moments. Like this last episode, after Walt shoots Mike, I found the subsequent interaction between the two hilarious with Walt’s realization that he could’ve just got the names from Lydia, and Mike telling to shut up so he can die in peace.
Don’t believe the white devil, The Killing is GDLK.
Perfect, episode. I was surprised how long the prison montage ended it just kept going:tup:
No one’s mentioned the countless risks Walt may and/or may not realize he took when partnering with Lydia, most notably his decision to quit. If Walt somehow really is quitting (which despite his megalomania would make sense because it would be tragically ironic in classic BB fashion) I’m sure a lot of the greased hands would be pissed he’s ruining a good thing. Just because he’s out doesn’t mean everyone else involved feels the same way I don’t just mean Lydia, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone getting a cut in Europe came to pay WW a visit.
I always imagined Breaking Bad ending with Walt dying but none of his family or friends (what friends?) being there in his final moments in the hospital because they are all too disgusted with him after learning the truth. Once again in classic Breaking Bad tradition Walt actually dying without the support of those who cared for him and became his gateway drug into the abyss of evil would be a complete reversal of season 1.
Also for everyone questioning why Walt would leave even a seemingly innocent and at worst circumstantial piece of evidence please have faith in the writers. How many times have Vince Gilligan and co shown us a smoking gun and refused to follow up on the ripples its causes?
The answer BTW is 0…that’s how many.
So Jesse came really close to killing Walt, I’m pretty sure he will point it at Walt again before it’s all over.
This girl is obsessed with her Pop-Pop. Doesn’t she have any friends?
Amazing episode and hopefully the Walt haters will shut the fuck up now. He wanted what he worked for and that was all. He did what was necessary to get to that point. At every stage prior to this he was always answering to someone else and giving them substantial portions of his earnings out of obligation, which set him back at every turn. Seeing that stack of money was the first time he ever got a glimpse of what he truly felt he deserved from his own sacrifices, and in the end that’s all he ever sought - his just deserts. Wasn’t about greed, wasn’t about ego, it was his perception of fairness. He wasn’t going to stop until there was a balance. And that was all portrayed with his chat with Jesse and his gift to him; his explanation of the whole spiel with the RV said it all - “inertia.” The money and power was secondary, it was about the principle (the mission, if you will) of being the prime beneficiary of one’s own hard work.
Anyway, that murder montage was so brutal in an almost comedic sense. For a second I thought Walt would “say the wrong thing” as he’s done numerous times in the past with Hank, but it was far too early in the episode for that to happen. The ending was pretty incredible. It’s only fitting that Gale would be the undoing of Walt, since that was his purpose all along.
bruv, Walt quit because his cancer is back.
If that were the sole reason he’d have just as much incentive to stay in the game with this new persona of his - nothing else to live for. Yeah if he truly has learned that his cancer returned (which is likely), it completely washes away this sense of immortality he’s come to have this season, but I feel that was only contributory. You could see it on his face when Skyler pulled away the sheet. No longer was he staring at piles of money with a scornful glare, he was in awe because he knew there were no third parties who were going to be chipping away at it. He’s seen a lot of money though, but he never thought it was an appropriate value when aligned with what he’s done to make it. His pending death brought him into the lifestyle, it wouldn’t be the only cause of his retirement.
I think the cancer thing was in response to this new sense of loathing the audience has, more so than it was a tool to pull him away from the drug trade. It makes him a more sympathetic figure - almost like PR damage repair. The juxtaposition of those two scenes suggests their reliance on one another. The money scene was eye-opening and posed a question, the scan helped give an answer. Without the first, there’s nothing for him to ponder in lieu of the cancer news. Without the second, there’s no sense of urgency to give an answer. The montages beforehand give an impression that things are routine, all that money in one way or another passed through his hands but he never truly saw how much of it was his because he was just going through the motions. If he knew he was dying, but never truly saw how much he had amassed, he’d likely keep going in search of that sought after balance.
Walt knows there’s no point continuing in the game if he has cancer. If it’s a relapse, it’ll probably kill him. Might as well use the little time he has left to heal the bonds he severed with his family members, which was the whole point of getting into this whole mess from day 1.
And as for the money… yeah, his family is taken care of. Having Skyler appeal to him and probably getting his cancer back most definitely put things back into perspective.
I can finally read this thread. What’s up, bitches?
Man I can see Walt being hunted down czhech mobster I think Hank is going to somehow try and use Walt to bring down the biggest Meth Ring know to man in this world of BB and it is going to come back to walt 100X fold I predict Hank, and walts family getting Merced and Walt useing the Mini gun going down scar-face style and gunning down some mobsters.
Do you even watch this show?
Whatever happens to Walt’s life from here on out, it’s not going to get more awesome. It’s going to get a hell of a lot more suck.
Man I never want to go to prison.
i was reading a forum one time and a dude made an “ask a former inmate” thread. really interesting. getting stabbed is much worse than what they portrayed on BB. BB made it look like some Caesar shit- when in reality they make as big a hole as they can so they can put their hands inside and start pulling stuff out. :wasted: dude said he saw multiple stabbings and they were all like that.
I think I might have read the same thing before, I was actually looking for that in the episode, but was glad when I didn’t find it.
Maybe the most fascinating thing I’ve read though. I also remember the guy saying that the worst thing no one ever thinks about is the smell, and how when he got out he caught a whiff of some dude’s cologne and popped a chubby, no homo.
The repeated jabbings portrayed seemed as authentic as you could get without the gut pulling, so that was actually pretty cool. Attention to detail.
Walt has wormed his way to the “top” of his little game and is all alone. Completely alone. The only people who were with him were there on false pretenses that are now quickly being whittled away. His only contact that matters it the most dubious and untrustworthy one he’s seen so far. In fact, everyone he actually could trust completely distrusts her. She’s remained alive via the same manner Walt has.
And then there’s Pinkman, who very well could be my favorite television drama character of all time. If this show doesn’t come down to Walt having to decide whether or not to destroy Jesse along with him, or to save himself, then it’s been setting it all up for nothing.
Marie and her damn purple.
Well if it goes down the way everyone is thinking i it is with Walts cancer back pretty sure he is going to try and find a way to let Jesse get away I cant see him fucking over Jesse with him pretty much facing his death in the face , I mean yea he has dicked Jesse so much already fucking over his life the killings, watching his girl friend choke on her own puke and bringing Jesse into a level of the Meth game he probably never even dreamed of getting to or even wanted to get to.
Walt giving Jesse his $5 million showed that he still did care about Jesse as a friend and maybe still wanted to be his friend so I cant really see him fucking Jesse over in the end.
Unless it means protecting himself and his family then all bets are off. *:badboy: *
