The lab burning down at the laundry Hank sent Gomez to, along with Gus dying when he went to meet Hector (who just talked to the DEA) obviously means there’s going to be some kind of investigation. There’s also his laptop, and Mike.
Plus, how is Walt going to provide for his family now that Gus is out of the picture? He has cancer bills and Hank’s rehabilitation. I don’t think the car wash can cover all that.
Also, HOW did Walt get the poison berries to Brock? Will Jesse find out?[/details]
All the stuff above is ripe for exploration/drama.
Way too much shit is currently unresolved.
Every episode they release is satisfying, at this point I trust that I will not be disappointed by Breaking Bad. This show could go on for 12 seasons, I wouldn’t care. This show can jump the shark and have Walt Jr. slinging Crack as a gang member in the Bronx, I’d still tune in.
(Don’t base full episodes around female characters though plzkthx)

I like how it ended - the main protagonist is a horrible, child poisoning bastard, end of story. Awesome!
What’s unresolved that we all want to see resolved?
Mike’s job status? Does that really matter?
Jesse versus Walt? Do we really need to see more of that?
Ted’s stuff? Man, fuck Ted.
Gus’ past? ABSOLUTELY NOT, it’s absolutely redundant, I cannot imagine them doing anything with his past that would make him cooler than he already is. Though to be honest, any chance you can get to have Giancarlo Esposito on-screen is not a bad idea.

They knew they were getting a fifth season long before four was finished. At any given time, the episode they’re writing is only three or four ahead of the episode they’re filming.
I made a list of shit that’s been introduced and left unresolved a few posts back.
I realize the last episode of season four seemed really climactic and took care of a lot of shit, but in the longiew, it would be utterly apparent that it was not the end. It resolves the Gus thread, which has been the major thread since mid-season two, plus the much less important Tio thread, and that’s about it. Two threads out of many, and two opponents who haven’t even been around for the whole series.

Hank is just an ends to a means for the show, he’s just there as another guy Walt has to dodge around. It would definitely be neat to see how it plays out with him now if Gus is exposed, but I don’t think the resolution of that subplot would be something essential to the show as a whole. I’m extremely content with where everything stands - another season would be something I enjoy immensely, but I just think it’d be tougher for them to end on an even higher note than if they just left it here.

Am I really the only one not using them? This whole damn thread should be in a spoiler tag then, if you haven’t watched the show yet, why are you scouring the internet for Breaking Bad threads? I If you’re late to a show, that’s the risk you run, it’s not like I’m citing things that have yet to happen or I’m posting the night of the episode. How about just avoiding Breaking Bad discussions if you think there might be a chance there’s a spoiler?
I agree with you entirely on that point. I only use them because I’ve been around too many of these threads to know that eventually the one guy will come in here saying “OMG y u no spoilertag?” knowing full well that there will be spoilers in here.
Of course people are aware that there will be spoilers. That’s not the point.
Not everybody gets into a show at the same time, and not everybody is up to speed. I don’t think people should have to ram down the entire run of a show before they’re able to make comments and ask questions about what they’ve seen. The title isn’t “The Latest Episode of Breaking Bad”–just “Breaking Bad”.
Maybe I’d think differently if it were a pain in the ass to use spoiler tags, but really, it’s not that hard.
Not everyone should have to feel like they need to exclude themselves from the thread because they’re not caught up with the latest season/episode. And for your information, Capret Lint, I’ve been on point watching this season since the beginning of season 3, last year, I’m just trying to help you realize you need to be considerate for others who aren’t so fortunate to be caught up at this time.

Season 4’s ending is actually a really good ending to the entire series.
