…I kinda want this
All I remember is that Gilligan said that they usually gave themselves something to write towards. The pink bear, for example, was another image they chose that they had no idea was going to pay off. I’m sure they developed some kind of basic guiding ideas as the season went forward.
then out of nowhere heineken sues AMC for using such similar name:
Heisemberg, Beneke
I wouldn’t worry. That will most likely get tossed out.
…is this real life? [details=Spoiler]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SEL27xiJGQ[/details]
Well the BB auction is pretty much done with the closed bids. Tread lightly:

Funny, I could’ve owned Jesse’s car and considered it a steal for that price…
pontiac fiero for 500 tho.
I actually really wanted Skyler’s jeep.
Wouldn’t have paid that damn much for it though.
Some fool paid more for that remote controlled car than Badger’s car…
Ass-is. #Bogdan
@ that auction. Charity makes you do weird shit, I guess. I’ll tell you this though: if I spend $1,300 on a Quija board, there better be some spirits in it. And the first thing they better tell me is how to get that $1,300 back.
I’m surprised how much the copy of Leaves of Grass was. Holy fucking balls 65,000. I mean, Walt Whitman is my favorite poet. The dude is legitimately one of the GOATS.
But 65,000 for that…damn.
Ending was too predictable for me.
What would have been an acceptably surprising ending?
I don’t know. This was just too straightforward, not what I expected as the finale of Breaking Bad which had been right up until the end anything but predictable.
I’m also bummed that Uncle Jack and his crew of rat-tail scum ended up being the final boss when Gus Fring rightfully should have been. Man, that was a character. Intimidating, charismatic, respected and matched by Walt. Would have been perfect.
Okay.
The ending was kind predictable, but not necessarily in a bad way. Nobody saw the gretchen thing coming.
Anybody heard/thought about the “double ending, it’s all a dream” analysis of the last episode?
not having surprises doesn’t make it bad. a good novel doesn’t need a twist on the last page. Ozymandias was the climax of this show.
I would say though that the neo nazis were the least interesting villains on the show
They didn’t have enough time to build up the neo nazi guys to the extend that Gus Fring or Tuco were build up. If they would have done it earlier in the series it would have added another layer of complexity in the story line that could backfire. Too risky move for the writers maybe?
I didn’t like the ‘it was all a dream’ analysis. Too easy. I’ll happily hold on to the story of a dying man finally getting even with people that impacted him, and probably life itself. Even if it was till the bitter end.
I don’t agree with it either, but it did make some valid points to look at.
Also, the fact they didn’t even have the nazis in mind when they introduced the m60 to the story is pretty mind blowing
The white power gang was an interesting choice, given all the other varieties of evil we’d been presented with. We had yet to see someone who was so far gone that we couldn’t imagine them being any other way.
