If you’re willing to do the mental gymnastics, you could pass the buck to everyone but Walt. Maybe it’s Hank’s fault for taking him on a ride along? Maybe it’s his family’s fault, since that was the whole reason he got into the business? Maybe its Gretchen and Elliots fault for making him feel ignored and downtrodden in the first place? Pinning all Walt’s woes on Jesse is stupid. Why can’t people just accept that it’s virtually impossible to enter and leave the drug dealing business with clean hands?
I also don’t see any alternative Gretchen and Elliot had in their situation. Gretchen still had something good to say about him, but the truth is he IS a murdering drug dealer. That is not up for discussion or interpretation. If they defended him they’d just be in denial, and compromising their business.
Hell am just saying any reason for Walt to stay alive is better than to peace out. I am very interested in the Schwartzs because we just know that Walt left, that Gretchen feels guilty about something (wanted to hang around in season 1 and pay for treatment etc) and that Walt cant stand Elliot very much (didnt want to hang around the party, felt bitched out because of the disparity of their then current success).
Now am guessing Elliot stole Gretchen or IP rights from him, or Walt was too much of a bitch to close, or for whatever reason he had to walk away, clearly the man had a lot to do with that companies success that what Elliot is saying.
Walt is pissed, it was such a big deal he went instantly from “the game is up” to “fuck this shit!” over 1 sentence. Am really interested to see how this plays out the the reason for Walts exit from a multibillion dollar buissness. Either way hes gonna kill him, nobody sticks Walt in a corner anymore.
Maybe they’ll change things up, because I read some interview a while back about the “real” reason Walt left, and it’s just stupid (while fitting in with Walt perfectly):
Since all that was off-screen, nothing’s stopping Gilligan from changing the reason Walt left. I think I would prefer that, actually. Still, having Walt get screwed out of his stake by fuckery or something would feel like a last minute saving throw for Walt. It would have to be pulled off splendidly.
You’re missing the point. Yes Walt is his own man, and “drug game”, blah, blah, but Walt’s life truly started to derail when he ran over those two drug dealers. There were some bumps in the road along the way to that point in the show, but right before that happened things were starting to go smoothly. After he ran over the two drug dealers is when the relationship with Gus became unstable, and it’s that instability which was the actual start of things unraveling. Obviously this is a TV show, so the writers would have found some way to shake things up if Jessie had died, but if we were to extrapolate into the future based on the known facts of the show without the need for TV drama it’s not hard to believe that things would have gone fine for Walt. It’s Jessie’s incompetence and manic behavior which continuously screws things up for Walt. Jessie is the bumbling sidekick that screws everything up.
Romney teams up with Fox News viewers to bring down Obamacare + Methamphetamines, despite many of them not being sure what either one of those things actually is.
Slightly off topic but a question that begs asking here. What’s everyone going to watch once this is all over? Seems like it’s going to leave a huge void in the weekly viewing schedule.
Walt drives really fast and gets hits by a bolt of lightning, transporting him to Westeros. He takes over that whole land using his magical future-weapon, the M60.
Cool idea I’ve seen out there: Felina is not just an anagram for “finale”, it’s also three elements: Iron, Lithium, and Sodium. Walt’s about to get mad salty up in his return to NM.
I was going to get into Mad Men but am 3 episodes in and no chebs have been shown yet, so ill think ill get my geek on with Agents of Shield and see how that goes. Its starting as BB ends, could be a sign.
Well I’m actually going to lose my life to GTA Online come Oct, 1st but …SHIELD, Sons of Anarchy, full sports season …then January hits Boondocks finally return. You thought waiting a year for 8 episodes of BB is …bad, try 4 YEARS.
Point is, there will always be something to watch even if “Felina” ends up solidifying BB as the greatest.
