No, I didn’t forget that Todd was working with Walter. But Todd was incapable of making blue meth by himself, which is why he took Jesse. If Todd was truly skilled enough to make pure meth, Jesse would be dead.
Nope. Todd was incapable of getting the purity above 75%. Not about making it blue. He even said the only reason it wasn’t blue that time was because he overcooked it a bit.
Apparently, there was a time (before Declan took over) where Todd could get the color, and the purity, while down a lot, was acceptable for the Czechs. However, he caused a fire in his lab, and Declan took the operation from him. Now, he’s back cooking, and he’s rusty.
It’s 50/50 here; Walt may think they have Jesse hostage, since the Nazis told him about their inability to get the blue color, and Todd doesn’t seem to be the type to just remember “oh shit, that’s what I forgot”. OTOH, Walt might not know about Jesse, because the Nazis have no reason to cook now with Walt’s fortune. Also, the agreement was to kill Jesse once they got what they needed from him. We’ll just have to see next week.
I thought SOMETHING would happen to Todd when it was revealed he shot that kid. He left that out of the Train Heist story he told in Confessions. I thought it was because Uncle Jack says “no heil” to that type of shit; now I’m thinking it just didn’t cross his mind to let out. Kid was an unimportant footnote.
I swear, this finale could make me shit myself twice from mind melting orgasms, but if Todd doesn’t die, it will only rank as a 7/10 after the refractory period. I can kind of see Lydia not dying, as she seems unapproachable for Walt. However, Todd needs to go. I would prefer if Jesse did it and could say “BITCH” somewhere, but this show always surprises.
How they gonna wrap all this shit up in 75 minutes? (including commercials). The ending has a good chance of feeling rushed unless there is something I got wrong
The more we talk about the less likely I think Todd will die, the guy doesn’t look it but he is smart and knows how to look out for himself, whereas the others are very short sighted. Getting friendly with Lydia maybe work in his favour when the others get killed off.
I think that was the most fucked up part about it. I thought Todd might’ve had a slight shred of remorse to leave that part out, or at least be scared enough to hide it from Jack because of a possible “don’t kill kids rule”.
But nope, Jack just wanted to kill Jesse for ratting him out. Todd only wanted him alive to continue cooking meth for his depraved schoolboy crush, gave a him ice cream like you’d give a pet a treat for being a “good boy”, and then punishes him for not doing what he’s told.
I gotta give this show credit for not pulling any punches. The craziest thing about Breaking Bad is that -aside from some slight suspension of disbelief- it could happen in real life. The characters’ motivations and actions are believable enough and don’t outright contradict one another. There’s no honor-among-thieves code or other fluff crap to keep things off-limits in terms of storytelling. In this show bad things can happen to good people and bad people alike, nothing is off the table.
Think about how much was packed into Ozymandias. They can certainly do it.
I don’t think they’ll wrap up 100% of everything. Based on interviews with Cranston and Gilligan I’m pretty sure Walt’s saga will be wrapped up definitively, but I’m sure there will be various subplots that will be left open purposely for interpretation and debate. I mean you’ve got to have at least something left to discuss the show once it’s over ;p
called it weeks ago, W.W is gonna get revenge against the Schwartzs xD
Also that episode was made epic simply by the inclusion of the legend Robert Forster, as soon as he appeared at the start of the episode I knew shit was gonna be on a whole different scale.
Waltenberg: “REMEMBER MY NAME, BITCH!” machine guns everything

lol… I’m happy I only watch the episodes off PSN. I can only imagine the impatience you all are going through dealing with commercials and such, especially in a “slow” episode like this one… I never watched BB with commercials and not gonna start at the last minute either. Me paying $3 an episode is part of my debt for seeing all the other eps for free, and I will be getting the complete series on Bluray. Fuck ads bitch.
Awesome that the colonel from Me Myself and Irene was Mr. Invisible. However IMO… his lines and professionalism mirrored Lawson’s character, the illegal arms dealer.
Nce surprise to see Principal Carmen again as we were just talking about her lol. Too much of a cakeface though but DAT ONION. HIPS, CUNT, IT’S ALL IN MY MIND / IF YA WANNA FUCK ME I SWEAR YOU FINE
I wonder how many “fucks” will be said next week. I know there won’t be any given.
Not gonna waste my time to give a prediction, just gonna watch the ending and gauge whether I should put it past The Wire as the greatest. Seems like 5 seasons is the golden time limit for the best shows, arguably. Although 24 did alright if you ignore 20 episode of S6…
P.S. For those who do love commercials and BB and are jobless, entire series marathon starting on Wednesday. Tread lightly…
Jesse is selfish as hell. He knew the nazis would come for his woman and her kid if he tried to escape. Everything bad that happens to Jesse is his fault. All this killing is because of Jesse.
Walt is even living like this because of Jesse.
Todd’s sly smile when jesse talked about him shooting the kid was so awesome
