I’m having the same problem as you guys regarding the Amazon issues. I suppose I have to forfeit the $16 and go pick this up locally. I guess when Amazon does ship it to me in a month and a half I’ll give it away to my brother.
I have to blame BradyGames for this as well. All the way back to the PS1 days I never bought their guides and always thought of them as a shoddy publisher compared to the king of strategy guides in those days which was Versus. I don’t see how they fail to get enough guides to Amazon when all the preorderes were already in.
This is just bad business but I do wanna support the guys who wrote this guide so I’m getting 2 copies.
I placed mine a couple of weeks ago with the standard 3-5 day shipping. Once I heard reports of people getting e-mails regarding the delayed shipping, I cancelled mine (mine wasn’t shipped on the 16th). If you order online, I recommend using Gamestop; they shipped mine within 24 hours and it’s supposed to be here tomorrow (though the Post Office here closes on weekends so we’ll see about that). Bradygames lets you order off of their website for a cheaper price, but I couldn’t tell you how the shipping quality is.
If they don’t ship it by Monday, I’ll cancel it no biggie (latest it should get is by the 23rd, according to this invoice) and pick it up elsewhere-- I’m a frugal person (i.e tightwad), so I saw the savings online to be better than running out to get a copy for a few dollars more, even if it means I’ll have to wait a while. And Amazon’s price guarantee matched Brady’s website and pushed the price point lower for me. Or I might bitch at them (if it’s not mailed), try and get a copy for super cheap, buy it elsewhere, and give away the second copy to a friend.
With that said, I still haven’t gotten a pushback e-mail from them. The main page changed the overall shipping time from 1-3 months to 4-6 weeks… lol.
I just ordered mine off Playasia on Wednesday, they shipped it out yesterday and its already here. I live in Asia though, so it won’t take as long overall. The book is awesome!
Wow, I was ordering this from Amazon right now but happen to be on SRK at the same time. Glad I read all of these posts first. I’m very surprised at Amazon, been shopping there for years and never a bad experience

So following up on what I said. The due date for my own guide was between Nov 21-23. They just shipped it today by Next Day air, lol. So it’ll be in tomorrow sometimes. I’m guessing they had a bit of a stock scare and got some in at the very last minute. The next stock ships on the 24th, so it seems they are back on schedule.
It was delivered to a neighbor’s house, and she didn’t know my last name so it was just sitting there.
Excited regardless! Getting it and the Skyrim guide at once is just ridiculous amounts of knowledge. Well worth the 25.50 for the pair. They each look worth that cost.
