So everyone has to pay the venue fee this year even if they are only entering the team tournament?
Everyone must pay for registration fee if they are playing in any official tournament. So yes you must pay for reg even if you are just entering the team tournament.
Side events do not count as official tournaments. So if you only join a side tournament, no venue fee is required.
Anyone need a third for 3v3 teams? I had a team but John said we couldnt have duplicate characters. I might be able to get 1 more

Will there be BYOC on Sunday too? Bringing a setup for CVS2. Anyone else bringing one for CVS2?
Not certain about BYOC on Sunday. Please talk to me end of Sat night after we have reconfigured the room for finals to see.
For people that have not booked rooms yet, the NCR special rate is only available until end of this week. So book now before the special runs out. Don’t forget that booking a room guarantees the open bar on both days.
this is a dumb question, but how do we know we are actually registered? i already paid, but i’m just curious…

So we can easily just walk in and play MVC3 for free? You don’t have to be registered for an actual tournament event in order to play it? No spectator fee huh… It sounds too good to be true.
Sorry everyone but due to the limited size of the event hall and such popular demand of some exhibits such as MvC3, I am now reconsidering letting just anybody come in and spectate for free. I don’t think the venue can handle such capacity.
So now I’ll be charging $10 for all weekend access to the event for spectators. This will allow you to play all you want in BYOC and have access to all exhibits. This means everyone planning to join only the unofficial BYOC events will have to pay $10.
I’ll purchase wristbands available to spectators for $10.
Note this only applies to people not registered for any event. Everyone registered for NCR will receive this wristband.
Seems reasonable since there’s bound to be a ton of freeloaders.
Also, is there any new updates about foreign competitors attending?
