Oscar stole that fight.

Damn can’t believe Oscar got beat that bad by a horse jockey…Pac use to fight in the 106 weight class. I never would have thought Pac was gonna win i saw youtube vids of his fights and his punches look very unorthodox and wild, guess Oscar is just to old. Although i’ve never liked oscar either.

I figured Manny was gonna win, but I didn’t know he was gonna beat the breaks off Oscar. Floyd need to come out of retirement and stop playing. I think him and Manny was be a good ass fight.

When the last time Oscar won?

Just saw the rerun a little while back (thank goodness I dodged spoilers for the most part), and was surprised.

damn…can’t believe this shit. i can’t believe DLH let the media hype/criticism get to him. that’s the only fathomable reason that he chose to come into the fight at 147 instead of gaining his weight back and keeping his only real advantage…that said, you can only fight who comes into the ring against you, and pacquiao fucking destroyed his ass.

i agree with stylistics, pacquiao/margarito would be a ridiculous fight for pac to take. the only way pac is fighting at 147 again is if he can get pretty boy out of retirement, and at that point that’s the only fight i really want to see him in. hatton is a scrub compared to pac at this point, pac really impressed me with the way he stuck to his game plan and just kept darting in and out while tagging DLH…still don’t think he’s ready for pretty boy though lol.

back to DLH though, i don’t understand all the hate. the doctor and the trainer pretty much stopped the fight, nothing he could really do. his training campe faild him imo with the decision to bring his weight down. dude has had a great career and fought almost everybody worth fighting in his time, just bcuz he happens to also be the biggest promoter in the sport isn’t a reason to hate on him.

Pacquiao is a good boxer. And in this match, he was the better boxer. Definitely much faster and more accurate. I mean, shit, if you look at the punch stats, he landed 3-4 times more punches than DLH.

yeah pac switched his style up A LOT, i don’t think we’ve ever seen him stick and move like that. obviously this fight would never happen, but imagine pac vs. paul williams…that’s the real reason nobody is trying to stay at 147 these days, got a fucking freak of nature reigning supreme there.

DLH’s stats were shit compared to pacquaio.

freedy roach was so confident manny would win, he told manny not to pay him if he lost… roach would’ve lost $500’000 if manny lost.

im pretty sure roach is certified crazy…after watching all those hbo boxing episodes im just damn sure of it.

Yeah, I think it was pretty clear after the first round Oscar had essentially become a big slow moving target. Not to mention he threw the left hook like twice and was pawing his jab at air most of the time. Even when Manny’s initial flurries would just pepper Oscar’s gloves and arms he would just cower away without attempting to fire back. Hatton is noticeably more mobile now with Floyd Sr, he actually throws nice compact combinations from a variety of angles. I don’t think Pac could demoralize Hatton like he did to Morales. If Ricky’s chin holds up like it did against Tszyu then he could win a narrow decision by being busier than Pac.

Manny’s win over Oscar isn’t very relevant to me when it comes to his chances against Floyd. Look at his performances against Juan Manuel Marquez and it’s pretty evident he has trouble with well rounded fighters. Floyd is faster, smarter, much more elusive, and hes got a 5" reach advantage. Plus there really has never been a time where Floyd has been forced to go all out or move to plan B. Once Hatton started giving him a little room Floyd turned the pressure around back onto Ricky. It would be interesting though if Manny forced Floyd to pursue him. Manny’s style could be tricky to deal with if he were constantly back peddling and he’d avoid a good deal of counters.

**Damn, I was disappointed with my boy, but DLH’s habit of standing in the middle of the ring didn’t work in his favor at all. Pacman was moving way too much. I personally don’t think he’ll retire after that.

Can’t have them all…at least the Gators won.**

to add on to Yansoma’s analysis, Floyd has the best right hand straight lead in boxing. And we all know the straight right is effective against south-paws ( except me, lol). See the Mayweather vs. Judah fight to see Mayweather double up on right hand leads. Manny looks very well against fighters that are slower than him, but fighters that can match or exceed his speed will give him problems. I say that Manny has the ability beat Mayweather. Manny, unlike Hatton, has upperbody movement and handspeed that would give Mayweather problems ( see the first four rounds of Judah vs. Mayweather) Manny will certainly do a better job then Hatton did against Mayweather.

how’s this for a storyline for a prospect of a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight:

Floyd got a split decision against Oscar and Floyd went on record to say he would knock Oscar out, but coasted ( or ran) his way into a split decision victory ( though my opinion is Mayweather won the fight eight rounds to four or 9 rounds to 3 in a boxing masterpiece).

Manny on the other hand, gave fans what they want and closed the show. Manny is the people’s champion and Mayweather is the ultimate villain we all love to hate.

Is it possible to have “two” number one pound for pound fighters in the same era and have them fight? Mayweather has never lost a fight and is undefeated and many people would like to see Floyd get his ass beat. So this fight can happen with a hilarious 24/7 series full of quotables from wacky Roger Mayweather.

" why do Bill Gates still make dem muahfuckin’ computers, huh? Thats why Floyd’s still hungry" - Roger Mayweather

Does Williams plan to move up since not many wants to fight him at 147? I finally got to see him against Philips and dude is scary.

I figure would make more than that considering what Manny going to get from the fight.

At this point it could be the next “Fight of the Century” kind of thing.

Thats most likely the case. No one will fight Williams at 47 and Paul probably can’t keep trying to make 47 until someone steps up so Paul might work his way into a match- up with Kelly Pavlik which is the biggest fight for Williams thats not Margarito. Why not Vernon Forrest vs. Paul Williams.

I hope to god Manny doesnt fight Margarito or Mayweather I like both of them a lot.

Manny needs to fight Mayweather! I was so NOT satisfied yesterday.

I won out big yesterday. The Mexicans are not taking this good at all though. Shooting at the air in anger was heard more than usual.
